[Machine] "O people, indeed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited nine things, and I also prohibit you from them: excessive lamenting, poetry, excess adornment, statues and drawings, animal skins, singing and musical instruments, gold and silk, and men wearing silk garments."  

الطبراني:١٦٩٨٨حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْوُحَاظِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُهَاجِرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ عَنْ كَيْسَانَ مَوْلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ خَطَبَ مُعَاوِيَةُ النَّاسَ فَقَالَ

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ تِسْعٍ وَأَنَا أَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْهُنَّ النَّوْحُ وَالشَّعْرُ وَالتَّبَرُّجُ وَالتَّصَاوِيرُ وَجُلُودُ السِّبَاعِ وَالْغِنَاءُ وَالذَّهَبُ وَالْحَرُّ وَالْحَرِيرُ

[Machine] The people gathered and Muawiyah delivered a speech in Hims. In his speech, he mentioned that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited seven things. I will now inform you of these seven things and prohibit you from indulging in them. These things are: wailing, poetry, images/statues, excessive adornment/display, the skins of predatory animals, gold, and silk.  

أحمد:١٦٩٣٥حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَيَّاشٍ يَعْنِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ وَغَيْرِهِ عَنْ أَبِي حَرِيزٍ مَوْلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ

خَطَبَ النَّاسَ مُعَاوِيَةُ بِحِمْصَ فَذَكَرَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حَرَّمَ سَبْعَةَ أَشْيَاءَ وَإِنِّي أُبْلِغُكُمْ ذَلِكَ وَأَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ مِنْهُنَّ النَّوْحُ وَالشِّعْرُ وَالتَّصَاوِيرُ وَالتَّبَرُّجُ وَجُلُودُ السِّبَاعِ وَالذَّهَبُ وَالْحَرِيرُ
