[Machine] Your cousin's son, that is, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , handed me a sword and said, "Fight with it as the enemy is fought with it. When you see people killing each other, intentionally strike someone with it and then stay in your house until death or a corrupt hand reaches you." He said, "Leave it."  

الطبراني:١٦٦٣٤ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ أَبِي الصَّلْتِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ عَلِيًّا بَعَثَ إِلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَسْلَمَةَ فَجِيءَ بِهِ فَقَالَ مَا خَلَّفَكَ عَنْ هَذَا الْأَمْرِ؟ فَقَالَ

دَفَعَ إِلَيَّ ابْنُ عَمِّكَ يَعْنِي رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سَيْفًا فَقَالَ قَاتِلْ بِهِ مَا قُوتِلَ بِهِ الْعَدُوُّ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ النَّاسَ يَقْتُلُ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا فَاعْمَدْ بِهِ إِلَى صَخْرَةٍ فَاضْرِبْهُ بِهَا ثُمَّ الْزَمْ بَيْتَكَ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَكَ مَنِيَّةٌ قَاضِيَةٌ أَوْ يَدٌ خَاطِئَةٌ قَالَ خَلُّوا عَنْهُ
