[Machine] Makrama ibn Abi Jahl traveled to Yemen and Umm al-Hakim bint al-Harith ibn Hisham, who was a Muslim at that time and was under the protection of Makrama ibn Abi Jahl, sought permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to marry her husband. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted her permission and ensured her safety. She left with her slave, a Roman, who tried to seduce her but she continued to refuse and remain faithful to her husband. Eventually, they came across some people from the tribe of Akk, whom she sought help from. They stopped him and she managed to catch up to her husband near the Tihama region, who was traveling on a ship. When he boarded the ship, he called upon the idols Lat and Uzza. The people on the ship told him that it is not permissible for anyone to invoke anyone or anything except Allah alone, sincerely. Makrama said, "By Allah, even if he is in the sea, he is still on land alone." He swore by Allah that he will return to Muhammad ﷺ . So, Makrama returned with his wife, went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , pledged allegiance to him, and was accepted. During that time, a man from the Banu Bakr tribe entered the Prophet's presence while fleeing after his defeat by his wife. She hit him and rendered him helpless, embarrassing him for running away. [Machine] "During the conquest, Ikrimah ibn Abi Jahl fled purposely to Yemen. On that day, Umm Hakim bint al-Harith ibn Hisham, who had embraced Islam by then and was under the protection of Ikrimah ibn Abi Jahl, sought permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to request her husband's hand in marriage. He granted her permission and ensured her safety. She departed with a guide towards Rome, who tried to provoke her affection for him. However, she remained faithful and drawn to her husband until they arrived at a group of people from Makkah. She sought their help and they protected her. Her husband had already reached the region of Tihamah, where he had embarked on a ship. When he boarded, he called upon Lat and al-Uzza (two idols) and the people on the ship told him it was not permissible for anyone to make any invocation except to Allah alone, sincerely. Ikrimah vowed that if he were to be saved even at sea, he would return to Muhammad ﷺ . Thus, Ikrimah returned with his wife and went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , pledged allegiance to him, and was accepted by him. Another man from among the Quraysh entered when the Bani Bakr defeated him, fleeing from his wife, whom he mistreated and insulted for running away. Urwah said, 'He was martyred on the day of Ajnadayn among the Muslims, and then among the Quraysh, and then among the Bani Makhzum. This man was Ikrimah ibn Abi Jahl.'"
