[Machine] "He asked the Prophet ﷺ about a deed that would enter him into Paradise, so he said, 'Is there anyone among your parents who is alive?' He replied, 'No.' He asked him three times, and he said, 'Give them water, carry it to them when they are absent and suffice them with it when they are present.'"  

الطبراني:١٥١٤٣ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي عَاصِمُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عِيَاضَ بْنَ مَرْثَدٍ أَوْ مَرْثَدَ بْنَ عِيَاضٍ الْعَامِرِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ رَجُلًا

أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنْ عَمَلٍ يُدْخِلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ فَقَالَ «هَلْ مِنُ وَالِدَيْكَ أَحَدٌ حَيٌّ؟» قَالَ لَا سَأَلَهُ ثَلَاثًا قَالَ «اسْقِ الْمَاءَ احْمِلْهُ إِلَيْهِمْ إِذَا غَابُوا وَاكْفِهِمْ إِيَّاهُ إِذَا حَضَرُوا»

[Machine] He asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "O Messenger of Allah, inform me of an action that will enter me into Paradise." He said, "Are your parents alive?" He said, "No." He said, "Then quench their thirst." He said, "How can I quench their thirst?" He said, "Serve them water when they are present and carry it to them when they are absent."  

أحمد:٢٣١٢٤ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ أَوْ مَرْثَدِ بْنِ عِيَاضٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ

أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَخْبِرْنِي بِعَمَلٍ يُدْخِلُنِي الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ هَلْ مِنْ وَالِدَيْكَ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَيٌّ؟ قَالَ لَهُ مَرَّاتٍ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَاسْقِ الْمَاءَ قَالَ كَيْفَ أَسْقِيهِ؟ قَالَ اكْفِهِمْ آلَتَهُ إِذَا حَضَرُوهُ وَاحْمِلْهُ إِلَيْهِمْ إِذَا غَابُوا عَنْهُ  

ahmad:23126 – ʿAffān > Shuʿbah > ʿĀṣim b. Kulayb > ʿIyāḍ b. Marthad or Marthad b. ʿIyāḍ > a man Minhum

[Machine] He asked the Prophet ﷺ about a deed that would enter him into Paradise, so he mentioned it, except that he said, "Taking care of their kin when they are present and bearing the burden for them when they are absent."
