"Subai'ah gave birth twenty-three or twenty-five days after her husband died, and when her Nifas ended she expressed her wish to remarry and was criticized for that. Mention of that was made to the Messenger of Allah and he said: 'There is nothing to stop her; her term has ended.'"

وَضَعَتْ سُبَيْعَةُ حَمْلَهَا بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ زَوْجِهَا بِثَلاَثَةٍ وَعِشْرِينَ أَوْ خَمْسَةٍ وَعِشْرِينَ لَيْلَةً فَلَمَّا تَعَلَّتْ تَشَوَّفَتْ لِلأَزْوَاجِ فَعِيبَ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهَا فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا يَمْنَعُهَا قَدِ انْقَضَى أَجَلُهَا

[AI] Subaya gave birth twenty-three or twenty-five nights after her husband's death. Then she made herself presentable, and the Prophet ﷺ was approached and informed, so he said: "If she does so, then her waiting period has passed."

وَلَدَتْ سُبَيْعَةُ بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ زَوْجِهَا بِثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ أَوْ خَمْسٍ وَعِشْرِينَ لَيْلَةً، فَتَشَوَّفَتْ، فَأُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَأُخْبِرَ، فَقَالَ: «إِنْ تَفْعَلْ، فَقَدْ مَضَى أَجَلُهَا».

[AI] Subayah bint al-Harith gave birth twenty-three or twenty-five nights after the death of her husband. When she recovered, she looked forward to marriage, but that was objected to for her, and that was mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ, so he said: "If she does so, then her waiting period has ended." وَضَعَتْ سُبَيْعَةُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ زَوْجِهَا بِثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ أَوْ خَمْسٍ وَعِشْرِينَ لَيْلَةً، فَلَمَّا تَعَلَّتْ تَشَوَّفَتْ لِلنِّكَاحِ، فَأَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهَا، وَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: «إِنْ تَفْعَلْ، فَقَدْ حَلَّ أَجَلُهَا». قَالَ عَفَّانُ: فَقَدْ خَلَا أَجَلُهَا.
