بِشْرٌ الْغَنَوِيُّ

tabarani:1216 – [Chain 1] Muʿādh b. al-Muthanná > ʿAlī b. al-Madīnī [Chain 2] al-Ḥusayn b. Isḥāq al-Tustarī > ʿUthmān b. Abū Shaybah > Zayd b. al-Ḥubāb > al-Walīd b. al-Mughīrah al-Maʿāfirī > ʿAbdullāh b. Bishr al-Ghanawī from my father

[Machine] He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Constantinople will surely be conquered. What a wonderful leader will its leader be, and what a wonderful army will that army be." So, Maslama bin Abdul-Malik called me and asked me about this hadith, and I narrated it to him. That year, Constantinople was conquered.

الطبراني:١٢١٦ – حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَا ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابَ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ الْمَعَافِرِيِّ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بِشْرٍ الْغَنَوِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَتُفْتَحَنَّ الْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةُ وَلَنِعْمَ الْأَمِيرُ أَمِيرُهَا وَلَنِعْمَ الْجَيْشُ ذَلِكَ الْجَيْشُ» فَدَعَانِي مَسْلَمَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ فَسَأَلَنِي عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فَحَدَّثْتُهُ بِهِ فَغَزَا تِلْكَ السَّنَةَ

Ubaidullah said: "Then Maslamah ibn Abd al-Malik called me and asked me about this hadith, so I narrated it to him, and he (Maslamah ibn Abd al-Malik) then conquered Constantinople."
