The Prophet ﷺ used to deliver the Khutba while standing and then he would sit, then stand again as you do now-a-days.

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا ثُمَّ يَقْعُدُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ كَمَا تَفْعَلُونَ الآنَ

Ibn 'Umar said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to deliver the sermon on Friday while standing. He would then sit and then stand (for the second sermon) as they (the Muslims) do nowadays.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَائِمًا ثُمَّ يَجْلِسُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ قَالَ كَمَا يَفْعَلُونَ الْيَوْمَ

[AI] About the Prophet ﷺ , it is narrated that he used to deliver the sermon standing on the day of Friday, then he would sit, and then he would stand and deliver the sermon.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَائِمًا ثُمَّ يَقْعُدُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَخْطُبُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray on the day of Eid and then deliver a sermon.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي يَوْمَ الْعِيدِ ثُمَّ يَخْطُبُ

[AI] And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wipe his face.

وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَسَحَ وَجْهَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to give sermons standing up.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to delay the later 'Isha'."[1] [1] It is described as the later 'Isha' prayer because the Maghrib prayer is sometimes called 'Isha' prayer, but it is the first 'Isha'. [AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was never seen giving a sermon while sitting, but always standing.

مَا رُئِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ إِلَّا قَائِمًا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to deliver the Friday sermon while standing, then he would sit, and then he would stand again.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَائِمًا ثُمَّ يَقْعُدُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ

[AI] I have never seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivering a sermon while standing.

مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ إِلَّا قَائِمًا

[AI] "The messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, described me as Abu Isa."

«كَنَّانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِأَبِي عِيسَى»

[AI] The color of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was dark.

«كَانَ لَوْنُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَسْمَرَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to deliver speeches standing up.

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا»

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never used to deliver a sermon while sitting; he would always stand."

«لَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ إِلَّا وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ»

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was never seen delivering a sermon except while standing up."

«مَا رُؤِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ إِلَّا قَائِمًا»

“Zaid bin Arqan used to say the Takbir four times in the funeral prayer, and he said the Takbir five times for one funeral. I asked him (about that) and he said: ‘The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to do that.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1505)

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُكَبِّرُهَا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to give the sermon on Fridays standing, then he would sit down, then he would stand and give the sermon.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَائِمًا ثُمَّ يَجْلِسُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَخْطُبُ»

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ drank while standing.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «شَرِبَ قَائِمًا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to give a sermon on Fridays, with a pause between them.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ مَرَّتَيْنِ بَيْنَهُمَا جَلْسَةٌ»

"أَن النَّبِىَّ ﷺ كانَ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَائِمًا، ثُمَّ يَقْعُدُ، ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَخْطُبُ".
