[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "While I was at a well watering (the animals), Abu Bakr came and drew out a sin or two sins, and in them there was a double, and Allah forgave him. Then Umar came and drew out sins until they became heavy in his hand. He then struck the people with a garment and I did not see any beast that it would flee from its own sweat."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَمَا أَنَا عَلَى بِئْرٍ أَسْقِي فَجَاءَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَنَزَعَ ذَنُوبًا أَوْ ذَنُوبَيْنِ وَفِيهِمَا ضَعْفٌ وَاللهُ يَغْفِرُ لَهُ ثُمَّ جَاءَ عُمَرُ فَنَزَعَ حَتَّى اسْتَحَالَتْ فِي يَدِهِ غَرْبًاوَضَرَبَ النَّاسُ بِعَطَنٍ فَلَمْ أَرَ عَبْقَرِيًّا يَفْرِي فَرْيَهُ  

"يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ: إِنِّى رَأَيْتُنِى البَارِحَةَ عَلَى قَلِيبٍ أَنْزع، فَجئتَ أَنتَ فَنزعتَ وأَنتَ ضَعيفٌ، والله يغفرُ لكَ، ثم جاءَ عُمَرُ فاستحالَتْ غَرْبًا، وضربَ النَّاس بَعَطَن".
