[Machine] "Bilal, to Abu Bakr when the messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away, said: 'If you had bought me for yourself, then keep me, and if you had set me free for the sake of Allah, then leave me to work for Allah.'"  

الطبراني:١٠١٠حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا أَبِي ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَ قَالَ

بِلَالٌ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ حِينَ تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَؓ «إِنْ كُنْتَ اشْتَرَيْتَنِي لِنَفْسِكَ فَأَمْسِكْنِي وَإِنْ أَعْتَقْتَنِي لِلَّهِ فَذَرْنِي أَعْمَلْ لِلَّهِ ﷻ»

"عن قيس بن أبي حازم قال: قَالَ بِلال لأَبى بَكْرٍ حِينَ تُوفِّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ : إِنْ كُنْتَ إِنَّمَا اشتَريْتَنِى لِنَفْسِكَ فَأَمسكنِى، وَإِنْ كُنْتَ إِنَّمَا اشْتَريْتَنِى لله فذَرْنِى وعَمِلى لله، فَبَكَى أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَقَالَ: إِنَّمَا أَعتَقْتُكَ للهِ، فَاذْهَب فَاعمَلْ للهِ".
