[Machine] "So I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'O people, when you hear of a collapse happening nearby, then indeed the Hour (Day of Judgment) has already cast its shadow.'"  

فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ بِخَسْفٍ هَهُنَا قَرِيبًا فَقَدْ أَظَلَّتِ السَّاعَةُ»  

[Machine] "To me, this matter seemed concerning, as you used to say, 'O Abd al-Malik, I see qualities in you that make you suitable to lead this nation. But if you are appointed, be cautious of shedding blood unjustly. For I have heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , say, 'Indeed, a man may be pushed away from the gates of paradise because he looked at it upon a bridge made of blood shed from a Muslim without right.'"  

أَنْ أَلِيَ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ فَكَانَتْ تَقُولُ يَا عَبْدَ الْمَلِكِ إِنِّي لَأَرَى فِيكَ خِصَالًا لَخَلِيقٌ أَنْ تَلِيَ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةَ فَإِنْ وُلِّيتَهُ فَاحْذَرِ الدِّمَاءَ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لِيُدْفَعُ عَنْ بَابِ الْجَنَّةِ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَيْهَا عَلَى مِحْجَمَةٍ مِنْ دَمٍ يُرِيقُهُ مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ»  

[Machine] The Prophet (PBUH) had a vessel made of bones in which he would urinate and place it under his bed. He got up and searched for it but did not find it, so he asked, "Where is the vessel?" They said, "Burra, the servant of Umm Salamah who came with her from Abyssinia, drank it." The Prophet (PBUH) said, "She has protected herself from the fire with bones."  

كَانَ لِلنَّبِيُّ ﷺ قَدَحٌ مِنْ عِيدَانٍ يَبُولُ فِيهِ وَيَضَعُهُ تَحْتَ سَرِيرِهِ فَقَامَ فَطَلَبَ فَلَمْ يَجِدُهُ فَسَأَلَ فَقَالَ «أَيْنَ الْقَدَحُ؟» قَالُوا شَرِبَتْهُ بَرَّةُ خَادِمُ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ الَّتِي قَدِمَتْ مَعَهَا مِنْ أَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لَقَدِ احْتَظَرَتْ مِنَ النَّارِ بِحِظَارٍ»  

[Machine] She said, "I asked the Prophet ﷺ for permission to enter between him and his garment, so he granted me permission. I entered from behind him and started holding on to him and wiping my chest against his back. The Prophet ﷺ said, 'O Messenger of Allah, what is it that can't be prevented?' He said, 'Water.' He said, 'O Messenger of Allah, what is it that can't be prevented?' He said, 'Salt.' He said, 'O Messenger of Allah, what is it that can't be prevented?' He said, 'If you do good, it will be good for you, and if you abstain, it will be better for you.'" The woman said, "So that man was never prevented from using water, even though it was less."  

قَالَتِ اسْتَأْذَنَ أَبِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ قَمِيصِهِ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ فَدَخَلَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ قَمِيصِهِ مِنْ خَلْفَهِ فَجَعَلَ يَلْتَزِمُهُ وَيَمْسَحُ صَدْرَهُ بِظَهْرِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا الَّذِي لَا يَحِلُّ مَنْعُهُ؟ قَالَ الْمَاءُ قَالَ أَيْ رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا الَّذِي لَا يَحِلُّ مَنْعُهُ؟ قَالَ الْمِلْحُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا الَّذِي لَا يَحِلُّ مَنْعُهُ؟ قَالَ «إِنْ تَفْعَلِ الْخَيْرَ خَيْرٌ لَكَ وَانْتَهَى» قَوْلُهُ إِلَى الْمَاءِ وَالْمِلْحِ قَالَتْ فَكَانَ ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلُ لَا يَمْنَعُ شَيْئًا مِنَ الْمَاءِ وَإِنْ قَلَّ  

[Machine] From Busrah bint Safwan al-Kinaniiyah, who was the aunt of Marwan, she said: "I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , 'O Messenger of Allah, should one of us perform ablution if she touches her private part?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, 'Whoever touches his/her private part, whether male or female, must perform ablution.'"  

عَنْ بُسْرَةَ بِنْتِ صَفْوَانَ الْكِنانِيَّةِ وَكَانَتْ خَالَةُ مَرْوَانَ قَالَتْ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَلْ عَلَى إِحْدَانَا الْوُضُوءُ إِذَا مَسَّتْ فَرْجَهَا؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ فَعَلَيْهِ الْوُضُوءُ»  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "O people, if you hear about an army being swallowed up soon, then the Hour has surely cast its shade."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يَا هَؤُلَاءِ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ بِجَيْشٍ قَدْ خُسِفَ بِهِ قَرِيبًا فَقَدْ أَظَلَّتِ السَّاعَةُ»  

[Machine] I heard Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Numair saying that Buthaynah bint Ad-Dahhak, the sister of Thabit, was the one whom Muhammad bin Muslimah proposed to.  

سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ يَقُولُ بُثَيْنَةُ بِنْتُ الضَّحَّاكِ أُخْتُ ثَابِتٍ وَهِيَ الَّتِي خَطَبَهَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ  

[Machine] He used to give charity with meat for three years, so I presented it to Aisha and she kept it until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered. Then he said, "What is this meat?" She said, "It is meat that I give as charity to the poor." He said, "It is charity for Barira and a gift for us." She said, "And I have written on nine papers." Aisha said, "If you want, I will count it for them as one." I said, "They do not say anything unless they stipulate loyalty." So the Prophet ﷺ said, "Stipulate and stipulate, for loyalty belongs to those who free slaves." She said, "So I was freed and I had the choice."  

كَانَتْ فِي ثَلَاثَةٍ مِنَ السَّنَةِ تُصُدِّقَ عَلِيَّ بِلَحْمٍ فَأَهْدَيْتُهُ لِعَائِشَةَ فَأَبْقَتْهُ حَتَّى دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا اللَّحْمُ؟ قَالَتْ لَحْمٌ تُصُدِّقَ بِهِ عَلَى بَرِيرَةَ فَأَهْدَتْهُ لَنَا فَقَالَ هُوَ عَلَى بَرِيرَةَ صَدَقَةٌ وَلَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ قَالَتْ وكاتَبْتُ عَلَى تِسْعَةِ أوراقٍ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ إِنْ شاءُوا عَدَدْتُ لَهُمْ عِدَّةً وَاحِدَةً قُلْتُ إِنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشْتَرِطَ لَهُمُ الْوَلَاءَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «اشْتَرِطِي وَاشْتَرِطِي فَإِنَّ الْوَلَاءَ لِمَنْ أَعْتَقَ» قَالَتْ وَأُعْتِقْتُ فَكَانَ لِيَ الْخِيَارُ
