O Allah, Ibrahim was Thy servant, Thy friend, and Thy apostle; and I am Thy servant and Thy apostle. He (Ibrahim) made supplication to Thee for (the showering of blessings upon) Mecca, and I am making supplication to Thee for Medina just as he made supplication to Thee for Mecca, and the like of it in addition. He would then call to him the youngest child and give him these fruits.

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Allah, bless the people of Madinah in their city, bless their measure, and bless their buildings. O Allah, certainly Ibrahim is Your servant and Your Khalil (close friend), and I am Your servant and Your Messenger. Indeed, Ibrahim sought Your blessings for the people of Makkah, and I seek Your blessings for the people of Madinah in the same way that Ibrahim sought Your blessings for the people of Makkah and similar to it. Indeed, Madinah is intertwined with angels on every one of its mountain passes, two angels guarding it from any plague or the Dajjal (the false messiah). Whoever seeks to harm it, Allah will melt him away like salt dissolves in water."

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Allah, bless the people of Medina in their city, bless their measures, and bless their duration. O Allah, indeed Ibrahim is Your servant and Your beloved, and I am Your servant and Your messenger. Indeed, Ibrahim asked You for the people of Makkah, and I ask You for the people of Medina in the same way Ibrahim asked You for the people of Makkah, along with a similar request. Indeed, Medina is surrounded by angels, with two angels guarding each of its entrances. Neither plague nor the Antichrist can enter it. Whoever seeks to harm it, Allah will destroy him, just as salt dissolves in water."

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution, then he prayed on the land of Sa'd, at the origin of Al-Harra, near the houses of As-Suqiya. Then he said: "O Allah, Ibrahim is Your beloved, Your servant, and Your prophet. He called upon You for the people of Makkah, and I am Muhammad, Your servant, Your prophet, and Your messenger. I call upon You for the people of Madinah just as Ibrahim called upon You for the people of Makkah. We plead with You to bless their measurements, their crops, and their fruits. O Allah, make us love Madinah as You made us love Makkah, and remove all plagues and epidemics from it. O Allah, I have already declared as sacred what is between its two lava plains, just as Ibrahim declared as sacred by his tongue the Sacred House (in Makkah)."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih from his father that Abu Hurayra said, "When people saw the first fruits of the season, they brought them to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took them and said, 'O Allah! Bless us in our fruits. Bless us in our city. Bless us in our sa and bless us in our mudd. O Allah! Ibrahim is Your slave, Your Khalil and Your Prophet. I am Your slave and Your Prophet. He prayed to You for Makka. I pray to You for Madina for the like of what He prayed to You for Makka, and the like of it with it.' Then he called the smallest child he saw and gave him the fruits."
