[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon to the people and said, "Fear Allah with regard to women, for you have taken them as a trust from Allah and have made their private parts lawful with the word of Allah. You have rights over them, and they have rights over you. Do not allow anyone whom you dislike to lie on your bed. If they do, then you may strike them without causing injury. They have a right to be provided for and clothed in a reasonable manner."

[Machine] Regarding the story of the Prophet's pilgrimage and sermon at Arafat, Jabir said: "Fear Allah regarding women, for you have taken them as a trust from Allah and made their private parts lawful by the word of Allah. You have rights over them and they have rights over you. Do not, therefore, be so harsh towards them that you bring about dislike for them, but if you dislike them, then perhaps you dislike something in which Allah has placed much good. Beat them lightly if they disobey you, but do not beat them severely. And remember that they have a right to their provision and clothing according to the common norms."
