"The Prophet ﷺ sent Abu Bakr with the (announcement of) Bara'ah (the declaration to publicize the disavowal of the idolaters). Then he summoned him and said: 'It is not right for anyone to convey this except a man among my family.'"So he called for 'Ali and gave it to him."

بَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِبَرَاءَةَ مَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ثُمَّ دَعَاهُ فَقَالَ لاَ يَنْبَغِي لأَحَدٍ أَنْ يُبَلِّغَ هَذَا إِلاَّ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِي فَدَعَا عَلِيًّا فَأَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهَا قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent Abu Bakr As-Siddiq with a message. When he reached Dhul-Hulayfah, he said, "Nobody should convey this message except me or a person from my household." So he sent it with Ali."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بَعَثَ بِبَرَاءَةٌ مَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ قَالَ عَفَّانُ لَا يُبَلِّغُهَا إِلَّا أَنَا أَوْ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي فَبَعَثَ بِهَا مَعَ عَلِيٍّ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent with a letter along with Abu Bakr to the people of Makkah. Then he called him and sent with it Ali. He said, 'Only a man from my family should deliver it.'"
