Umm Sulaim went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: Apostle of Allah, Allah is not ashamed of the truth. Is bathing necessary for a woman when she has a sexual dream? Upon this the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Yes, when she sees the liquid (vaginal secretion). Umm Salama said: Messenger of Allah, does a woman have sexual dream? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Let your hand be covered with dust, in what way does her child resemble her?  

جَاءَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ فَهَلْ عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ مِنْ غُسْلٍ إِذَا احْتَلَمَتْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَعَمْ إِذَا رَأَتِ الْمَاءَ فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَتَحْتَلِمُ الْمَرْأَةُ فَقَالَ تَرِبَتْ يَدَاكِ فَبِمَ يُشْبِهُهَا وَلَدُهَا  

Umm Sulaim bint Milhan came to the Prophet and she said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Indeed Allah is not embarrassed of the truth. So is it required of a woman - meaning Ghusl - when she sees in her sleep similar to what a man sees?' He replied: 'Yes. When she finds water (wetness), then she is perform Ghusl.'" Umm Salamah said: "I said to her: 'O Umm SuIaim! You have disgraced the women!'"  

جَاءَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ بِنْتُ مِلْحَانَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ فَهَلْ عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ تَعْنِي غُسْلاً إِذَا هِيَ رَأَتْ فِي الْمَنَامِ مِثْلَ مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ قَالَ نَعَمْ إِذَا هِيَ رَأَتِ الْمَاءَ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ قُلْتُ لَهَا فَضَحْتِ النِّسَاءَ يَا أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ  

Her mother Umm Salamah said: "Umm Sulaim came to the Prophet and asked him about a woman who sees in her dream something like a man sees. He said: 'Yes, if she sees water (discharge), let her take a bath.' I said: 'You have embarrassed the women. Do women experience wet dreams?' The Prophet said: 'May your hands be rubbed with dust, how else does her child resemble her?'"  

جَاءَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَسَأَلَتْهُ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَرَى فِي مَنَامِهَا مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ قَالَ نَعَمْ إِذَا رَأَتِ الْمَاءَ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ فَقُلْتُ فَضَحْتِ النِّسَاءَ وَهَلْ تَحْتَلِمُ الْمَرْأَةُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ تَرِبَتْ يَمِينُكِ فَبِمَ يُشْبِهُهَا وَلَدُهَا إِذًا  

Her mother Umm Salamah said: "Umm Sulaim came to the Prophet and asked him about a woman who sees in her dream something like a man sees. Her mother Umm Salamah said: "Umm Sulaim came to the Prophet and asked him about a woman who sees in her dream something like a man sees. جَاءَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَسَأَلَتْهُ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَرَى فِي مَنَامِهَا مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ «إِذَا رَأَتِ الْمَاءَ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ» فَقُلْتُ لَهَا فَضَحْتِ النِّسَاءَ هَلْ تَحْتَلِمُ الْمَرْأَةُ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «تَرِبَتْ يَمِينُكِ فَبِمَ يُشْبِهُهَا ابْنُهَا إِذًا؟»  

[Machine] A woman entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was in the house of Umm Salamah. She said, "O Messenger of Allah, what do you think about a woman who sees in her dream what a man sees?" Umm Salamah interjected, saying, "Shame on you! You have exposed women!" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, Allah is not shy of the truth." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If any of you sees such a dream, she should perform Ghusl (a ritual bath)."  

دَخَلَتِ امْرَأَةٌ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ فِي بَيْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَرَأَيْتَ الْمَرْأَةَ تَرَى فِي مَنَامِهَا مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ تَبًّا لَكِ فَضَحْتِ النِّسَاءَ قَالَتْ إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْتَحِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ رَأَى ذَلِكَ مِنْكُنَّ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ»  

"تَرِبَتْ يَمِينْكِ؛ فَبِمَ يُشْبهُهُا وَلَدُهَا" قالهُ لأم سلمةَ حين قالت: وهَل تحْتلِمُ المرأَةُ؟ قالت أُم سلمة: جَاءَت أُم سُلَيم إِليهِ تسأَلُهُ عن المرأَةِ تَرَى في مَنِامِهَا مَا يَرَى الرجُلُ فقال: "تَغْتِسِلُ" فقلت لها: فضَحْت النساءَ، وهَلْ تحْتِلمُ المرأَةُ؟ "
