"عَن ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: بَعَثَ إِلَى النَّبىِّ ﷺ فَرْوَةُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ الْجُذَامىُّ بإِسْلامِهِ، وَأَهْدَى لَهُ بَغْلَةً بَيْضَاءَ، وَكَانَ عَامِلًا لِقَيْصَرَ مَلِكِ الرُّومِ عَلَى مَنْ يَليهِ منَ الْعَرَبِ، وَكَانَ مَنْزِلُهُ عَمَّانَ (*) وَمَا حَوْلهَا، فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ الروم ذَلِكَ منْ أَمْرِهِ قَتَلُوهُ".
