"عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ قَالَ: صَلَّى بِنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَوْمًا حِينَ زَالَتِ الشَّمْسُ ثُمَّ قَالَ: هَذَا وَالَّذِى لَا إِلَه غَيْرُهُ وَقْتُ هَذِه الصَّلاة".

[Machine] Abdullah prayed when the sun set and I asked Sulaiman for the afternoon prayer. He replied yes, and Abdullah said, "This is, by Allah, the time for this prayer."

الطبراني:٩٢٧٧ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ قَالَ

صَلَّى عَبْدُ اللهِ حِينَ زَالَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَقُلْتُ لِسُلَيْمَانَ الظُّهْرَ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ «هَذَا وَالَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ مِيقَاتُ هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةِ»

[Machine] We were with Abdullah when he finished and he said, "By the One besides whom there is no deity, this is the time for this prayer to be performed wherever the sun sets."
