"عَنِ ابنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ رَسُولِ الله ﷺ إِذْ مَر الْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ وَهُمَا صَبِيَّانِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ هَاتُوا ابْنَىَّ أُعَوِّذْهُمَا بِمَا عَوَّذَ بِهِ إبْرَاهِيمُ ابْنَيْهِ إسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ فَضَمَّهُمَا إِلَى صَدْرِهِ وَقَالَ: أُعِيذكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ الله التَّامَّة مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّة وَكُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّة، وَكَانَ إبْرَاهِيم النَّخْعِى يَسْتَحِبُّ أَنْ يُوَاصِلَ هَؤُلَاءِ الْكَلِمَات بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ، وَقَالَ مَنْصور بن الْمُعْتَمِر يُعَوَّذُ بِهِما فإِنَّهُمَا تَنْفَعُ مِنَ الْعَيْنِ والْقَزَعَةِ وَمِن الْحُمَّى وَمِنْ كُلِّ وَجَعٍ".

[Machine] We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when Hasan and Husain passed by, and they were young children. He said, "Bring me my two sons, I seek refuge for them with the same protection that Ibrahim sought for his two sons, Ismail and Ishaq." He said, "I seek refuge for you both in the perfect words of Allah, from every evil eye, harmful thing, and Satan."
