"عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: لَا يَزَالُ الرَّجُلُ فِي فسحَةٍ منْ دِينِه مَا لَمْ يُهْرقْ دَمًا حَرَامًا، فَإِذَا أَهْرَاقَ دَمًا حَرَامًا نُزعَ منْهُ الْحَيَاءُ".

A Believer absolves his rights if he commits murder

bukhari:6862 – ʿAlī > Isḥāq b. Saʿīd b. ʿAmr b. Saʿīd b. al-ʿĀṣ from his father > Ibn ʿUmar

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The believer will continue to have latitude in his religion so long as he does not shed unlawful blood.”

البخاري:٦٨٦٢ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «لَنْ يَزَالَ الْمُؤْمِنُ فِي فُسْحَةٍ مِنْ دِينِهِ مَا لَمْ يُصِبْ دَمًا حَرَامًا».

[AI] Abdullah said, "A man remains in a state of purity in his religion as long as he does not shed forbidden blood. But when he sheds forbidden blood, his modesty is stripped away from him."
