"عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيم، فَقَالَ: هُوَ اسْمٌ مِنْ أَسْمَاءِ اللهِ، وَمَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ اسْمِ اللهِ الأَكْبَرِ إِلا كَمَا بَيْنَ سَوَادِ الْعَيْنِ وَبَيَاضهَا".

[Machine] Uthman ibn Affan asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about "Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim." He said, "It is a name among the names of Allah, and there is nothing between it and the name of Allah al-Akbar except like the difference between the blackness and whiteness of the eye from its proximity."

الحاكم:٢٠٢٧ – حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ أَنْبَأَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُسَافِرٍ التِّنِّيسِيُّ ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ثنا سَلَّامُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ الْجَنَدِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ فَقَالَ «هُوَ اسْمٌ مِنْ أَسْمَاءِ اللَّهِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ اسْمِ اللَّهِ الْأَكْبَرِ إِلَّا كَمَا بَيْنَ سَوَّادِ الْعَيْنِ وَبَيَاضِهَا مِنَ الْقُرْبِ»

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ»
