[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us in the mosque that was established on Taqwa, the Quba Mosque, and he stood at its door and said, "Indeed, Allah has praised you for your cleanliness. So, what is your way of purifying yourselves?" We said, "O Messenger of Allah, we are a people of scripts (meaning we have access to written knowledge) and we find it necessary to perform istinja (cleaning after using the restroom) with water. We do it today." So he said, "Indeed, Allah has praised you for your cleanliness," and he recited, "In it (the mosque) are men who love to purify themselves. And Allah loves those who purify themselves."
