The Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed me to sell two slaves who were brothers, so I sold them and separated them. I told the Prophet ﷺ about that and he said: ʿGo and find them and take them back, and do not sell them except together.ʿ

أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ أَبِيعَ غُلامَيْنِ أَخَوَيْنِ فَبِعْتُهُمَا وَفَرَّقْتُ بَيْنَهُمَا فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَدْرِكْهُمَا فَأَرْجِعْهُمَا وَلا تَبِعْهُمَا إِلا جَمِيعًا

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told me to sell two slaves who were brothers, so I sold them and separated them, I mentioned that to the Prophet ﷺ and he said: ʿGo and take them back, and only sell them together; do not separate them.”

أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ أَبِيعَ غُلامَيْنِ أَخَوَيْنِفَبِعْتُهُمَا فَفَرَّقْتُ بَيْنَهُمَا فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَدْرِكْهُمَا فَارْتَجِعْهُمَا وَلا تَبِعْهُمَا إِلا جَمِيعًا وَلا تُفَرِّقْ بَيْنَهُمَا

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ received some captured prisoners, and he instructed me to sell two of them. So I sold them and separated them from each other. Then I went to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him, and he said, "Find them and bring them back, and sell them together, and do not separate them."

قَدِمَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سَبْيٌ فَأَمَرَنِي بِبَيْعِ أَخَوَيْنِ فَبِعْتُهُمَا وَفَرَّقْتُ بَيْنَهُمَا ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَقَالَ «أَدْرِكْهُمَا فَارْتَجِعْهُمَا وَبِعْهُمَا جَمِيعًا وَلَا تُفَرِّقْ بَيْنَهُمَا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded me to sell two of the captives, so I sold them and then I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him about their sale. He said, "Did you separate them?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Return them, then sell them and do not separate them."

أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ أَبِيعَ أَخَوَيْنِ مِنَ السَّبْيِ فَبِعْتُهُمَا ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِبَيْعِهِمَا فَقَالَ «فَرَّقْتَ بَيْنَهُمَا؟» قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ «فَارْتَجِعْهُمَا ثُمَّ بِعْهُمَا وَلَا تُفَرِّقْ بَيْنَهُمَا»
