"عَنِ الزُّهْرِىِّ قَالَ: بَلَغَنَا أَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ كَانَ يَقُولُ: إِذَا سُئِلَ عَنِ الأَمْرِ أَكَانَ هَذَا؟ فَإِنْ قَالُوا: نَعَمْ قَدْ كَانَ، حَدَّثَ فِيهِ بِالَّذِى يَعْلَمُ وَالّذِى يَرى، وَإنْ قَالُوا: لَمْ يَكُنْ، قَالَ: فَذَرُوهُ حَتَّى يَكُونَ".
