The Prophet ﷺ said, "The most true words said by a poet was the words of Labid." He said, Verily, Everything except Allah is perishable and Umaiya bin As-Salt was about to be a Muslim (but he did not embrace Islam). (Using translation from Bukhārī 3841)
"أَصْدقُ كلمة قالها الشَّاعُر كلمة لبيدٍ: أَلا كلُّ شيء ما خلا الله باطلٌ، وكاد أُمَيَّةُ بن أَبي الصَّلتِ أَنْ يُسْلم" .

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: The truest word which the poet stated is the word of Labid: "Behold! apart from Allah everything is vain."
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أَصْدَقَ كَلِمَةٍ قَالَهَا شَاعِرٌ كَلِمَةُ لَبِيدٍ أَلاَ كُلُّ شَىْءٍ مَا خَلاَ اللَّهَ بَاطِلٌ مَا زَادَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ
that the Prophet ﷺ said: "The best statement spoken by the Arab is the saying of Labid: 'Everything aside from Allah perishes.'"
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أَشْعَرُ كَلِمَةٍ تَكَلَّمَتْ بِهَا الْعَرَبُ كَلِمَةُ لَبِيدٍ أَلاَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مَا خَلاَ اللَّهَ بَاطِلُ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَصْدَقُ كَلِمَةٍ قَالَهَا الشَّاعِرُ كَلِمَةُ لَبِيدٍ أَلاَ كُلُّ شَىْءٍ مَا خَلاَ اللَّهَ بَاطِلُ وَكَادَ أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ أَبِي الصَّلْتِ أَنْ يُسْلِمَ
[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ said from the pulpit: 'The longest poem ever recited by the Arabs is "Al-Bahr Al-Taweel" (The Long Sea)." Then he added, 'Behold, everything that exists besides Allah is false.' Umayyah bin Abi As-Salt almost became Muslim.'"
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ أَشْعَرُ بَيْتٍ قَالَتْهُ الْعَرَبُ[البحر الطويل]أَلَا كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مَا خَلَا اللهَ بَاطِلُوَكَادَ أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ أَبِي الصَّلْتِ أَنْ يُسْلِمَ
