"عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ: خَرَجْتُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ، فَأَرَادَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ رَدِّى واستصغرنِى، فَقَالَ لَهُ عَمِّى: يا رسُولَ الله إِنَّهُ رَامٍ، فَأَخْرَجَهُ، فَأَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ فِى صَدْرِهِ أَوْ نَحْرِه، فَأَتَى عَمُّهُ النبىَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: إِنّ ابْنَ أَخِى أَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ : إِنْ تَدَعْهُ فِيهِ فَيَمُوتْ مَاتَ شَهِيدًا".

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked Rafi' ibn Khadeejah, "O Messenger of Allah, he is a man seeking martyrdom." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted him permission, and he was struck by an arrow in his collarbone. His uncle brought him to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "My nephew has been hit by an arrow." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If you want, we can take it out, and if you want, we can leave it, for if he dies with it, he will die as a martyr."

اسْتَصْغَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَافِعَ بْنَ خَدِيجٍ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ عَمُّهُ ظُهَيْرٌ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهُ رَجُلٌ رَامٍ فَأَجَازَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ فِي لَبَّتِهِ فَجَاءَ بِهِ عَمُّهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ ابْنَ أَخِي أَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنْ أَحْبَبْتَ أَنْ تُخْرِجَهُ أَخْرَجْنَاهُ وَإِنْ أَحْبَبْتَ أَنْ تَدَعَهُ فَإِنَّهُ إِنْ مَاتَ وَهُوَ فِيهِ مَاتَ شَهِيدًا»

[Machine] He went out on the day of Uhud, and the Prophet ﷺ intended to send him back, but he insisted on going. His uncle said to him, "O Messenger of Allah, my nephew insists on going, and he is young." So he allowed him to go. He was then struck by an arrow in his chest or neck. He came to his uncle, the Prophet ﷺ , and said, "My son has been struck by an arrow." The Prophet ﷺ said, "If you leave it in him, he will die as a martyr." Abdullah bin Hussein said, "His wife told me that she used to see him showering and moving in his chest."
