The Prophet ﷺ said: "If only one day of this world remained," – in the narration of Zaʾidah he adds: "Allah will lengthen that day" and he agrees with the rest ˹of the narration˺ – "until He will raise up in it a man (the Mahdī) who is from me" or "from ˹the bloodline˺ of my family. His father's name is the same as my father." In the narration of Fiṭr he adds: "He will fill the earth with equity and justice as it has been filled with oppression and tyranny."

In the narration of Sufyān he adds: "The world will not pass away or end before the Arabs are ruled by a man of my family whose name will be the same as mine."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلاَّ يَوْمٌ» قَالَ زَائِدَةُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: «لَطَوَّلَ اللَّهُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ» ثُمَّ اتَّفَقُوا: «حَتَّى يَبْعَثَ فِيهِ رَجُلاً مِنِّي» أَوْ «مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي وَاسْمُ أَبِيهِ اسْمَ أَبِي۔» زَادَ فِي حَدِيثِ فِطْرٍ: «يَمْلأُ الأَرْضَ قِسْطًا وَعَدْلاً كَمَا مُلِئَتْ ظُلْمًا وَجَوْرًا۔»

وَقَالَ فِي حَدِيثِ سُفْيَانَ: «لاَ تَذْهَبُ أَوْ لاَ تَنْقَضِي الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ الْعَرَبَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي۔»

The Prophet ﷺ said: "If only one day of this ˹worldly˺ time remained, Allah would raise up a man (the Mahdī) from my family who would fill this earth with justice as it has been filled with oppression."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدَّهْرِ إِلاَّ يَوْمٌ لَبَعَثَ اللَّهُ رَجُلاً مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يَمْلأُهَا عَدْلاً كَمَا مُلِئَتْ جَوْرًا

the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The world shall not pass away until a man from the people of my family rules the Arabs whose name agrees with my name."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «لاَ تَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ الْعَرَبَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي۔»

from the Prophet ﷺ who said: "A man is coming from the people of my family whose name agrees with my name."

ʿāsim said: Abū Ṣālih narrated to us from Abū Hurayrah who said: "If there did not remain in the world but one day, then Allah would extend that day until he comes."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «يَلِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي۔» قَالَ عَاصِمٌ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: «لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلاَّ يَوْمٌ لَطَوَّلَ اللَّهُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ حَتَّى يَلِيَ۔»

“Even if there was only one day left of this world, Allah would make it last until a man from my household took possession of (the mountain of) Dailam and Constantinople.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلاَّ يَوْمٌ لَطَوَّلَهُ اللَّهُ ﷻ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يَمْلِكُ جَبَلَ الدَّيْلَمِ وَالْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةَ

"The world shall not pass away until a man from the people of my family rules the Arabs whose name agrees with my name." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2230)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَنْقَضِي الْأَيَّامُ وَلَا يَذْهَبُ الدَّهْرُ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ الْعَرَبَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي اسْمُهُ يُوَاطِئُ اسْمِي

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا أَو قَالَ لَا تَنْقَضِي الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ الْعَرَبَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي

[AI] "From the Prophet ﷺ , he said: The world will not end, or the world will not pass away until a man from my household rules over the Arabs, and his name will match my name."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا أَوْ لَا تَنْقَضِي الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ الْعَرَبَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَنْقَضِي الْأَيَّامُ وَلَا يَذْهَبُ الدَّهْرُ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ الْعَرَبَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If there was only one night remaining in this world, Allah would send a man from the family of the Prophet ﷺ to rule over it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا لَيْلَةٌ لَمَلَكَ فِيهَا رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ»

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "If there was only one night left in the world, a man from my family would rule it, and his name would be my name."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا لَيْلَةٌ لَمَلَكَ فِيهَا رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي * اسْمُهُ اسْمِي»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Hour will not come until a man from my Ahlul-Bayt (family) rules, and his name matches my name and his father's name matches my father's name, and he fills the earth with justice and fairness."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ النَّاسَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي وَاسْمُ أَبِيهِ اسْمَ أَبِي فَيَمْلَؤُهَا قِسْطًا وَعَدْلًا»

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ ﷺ لا تذهب أيام الدنيا حتى يملك رجل مني ولو لم يبق من الدنيا إلاَّ يوم واحد لطول الله ذلك اليوم حتى يفتح قسطنطينة والديلم

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The worldly life will not come to an end until a man from my household comes to power with the same name as mine."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَافِقُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي»

[AI] Narrated by Abdullah ibn Masud, he said: "The Prophet ﷺ said, 'The world will not end until Allah sends a man from my Ahlul-Bayt (Prophet's household) whose name matches my name, and whose father's name matches my father's name.'"

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَبْعَثَ اللهُ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي وَاسْمُ أَبِيهِ اسْمَ أَبِي»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The nights and days will not pass until a man from my household will rise and have a name that is similar to my name."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ اللَّيَالِي وَالْأَيَّامُ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If there was only one night left in the world, a man from the Prophet's household would rule it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا لَيْلَةٌ لَمَلَكَ فِيهَا رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The world will not end until a man from my household, whose name matches mine, will rule."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If there remained only one day in the world, Allah would lengthen that day until He sends in it a man from among me or from my family, whose name will match my name and his father's name will match my father's name."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا يَوْمٌ لَطَوَّلَ اللهُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ حَتَّى يَبْعَثَ اللهُ فِيهِ رَجُلًا مِنِّي أَوْ مِنْ أَهْلِي أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي وَاسْمُ أَبِيهِ اسْمَ أَبِي»

[AI] "For me, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The world will not pass away, nor will the days end, until a man from my family controls the Arabs, and his name matches mine.'"

لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا أَوْ لَا يَنْقَضِي الْأَيَّامُ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ الْعَرَبَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "If there was only one night left in the world, Allah would prolong that night until a man from my family rises, whose name matches my name and his father's name matches my father's name. He will fill the earth with justice and fairness, as it has been filled with oppression and injustice."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا لَيْلَةٌ لَطَوَّلَ اللهُ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي وَاسْمُ أَبِيهِ اسْمَ أَبِي يَمْلَأُهَا قِسْطًا وَعَدْلًا كَمَا مُلِئَتْ ظُلْمًا وَجَوْرًا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The world will not end until a man from my household emerges who bears my name." They asked, "Yes?"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي» ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The world will not come to an end until a man from my household rises, and his name will be the same as mine." He said, "Yes."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي» ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The world will not pass away until a man from my family will rule whose name is the same as mine." He asked, "Yes?"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي» ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The days and nights will not pass until a man from my household will rule."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الْأَيَّامُ وَاللَّيَالِي حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The days and nights will not pass away, even if there is only one day left in the world, until Allah raises a man from my nation whose name will match my name."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الْأَيَّامُ وَاللَّيَالِي وَلَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا يَوْمٌ حَتَّى يَبْعَثَ اللهُ رَجُلًا مِنْ أُمَّتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي»

"لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلا يَوْمٌ لَطَوَّلَ الله ذَلِك الْيَوْمَ حَتَّى يُبعثَ فِيهِ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أفضَلِ بَيتِى يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِى وَاسْمُ أَبِيهِ اسْمَ أبِي يَمْلأ الأَرْضَ قِسْطًا وَعَدْلًا كَمَا مُلِئَتْ ظُلمًا وَجَوْرًا".

"لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدَّهْرِ إلا يَوْمٌ لَبَعَثَ الله رَجَلًا مِنْ أهْلِ بَيتِى يَملَؤُهَا عَدْلًا، كَمَا مُلِئَتْ جَوْرًا".

"لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إلا لَيلَةٌ لَمَلَكَ فِيهَا رَجَلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيتِى".

"لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلا يَوْمٌ لَطَوَّلهُ الله حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجَلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيتِى يَمْلِكُ جَبَلَ الدَّيلَم وَالْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةَ".

"لا تَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا، وَلا تَنْقَضِي حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ العَرَبَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيتِي يواطئ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي".

"لا تَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَبْعَثَ الله رَجُلًا مِنْ أهْلِ بَيتِي، يُواطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي، واسْمُ أبِيهِ اسْمَ أَبِي، فَيَملأُ الأرْضَ عَدْلًا وقسْطًا، كَمَا مُلئَتْ جَوْرًا وظُلمًا".

"يَمْلِكُ النَّاسَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِى، اسْمُهُ اسْمِى، وَاسْمُ أَبِيه اسْمُ أَبِى، يَمْلأُ الأَرْضَ قِسْطًا وَعَدْلًا، كَمَا مُلِئَتْ ظُلمًا وَجَوْرًا".
