مَنْ يُكَنَّى أَبَا الدَّحْدَاحِ أَبُو الدَّحْدَاحِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ

[Machine] Did you not go out with the people? He said, "Yes, but I heard a narration from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I wanted to pass it on to you in case you not be able to meet with me. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'O people, whoever is entrusted with a position of authority and uses it to prevent those in need of the Muslims from getting their rights, Allah will prevent him from entering Paradise. And whoever is preoccupied with worldly desires, Allah will make him prohibited from the delights of the world. Verily, I was sent with the destruction of the worldly life, not with its construction.' "  

لَهُ مُعَاوِيَةُ أَلَمْ تَكُنْ خَرَجْتَ مَعَ النَّاسِ؟ قَالَ بَلَى وَلَكِنِّي سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حَدِيثًا فَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ أَضَعَهُ عِنْدَكَ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ لَا تَلْقَانِي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ مَنْ وَلِيَ مِنْكُمْ عَمَلًا فَحَجَبَ بَابَهُ عَنْ ذِي حَاجَةِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَجَبَهُ اللهُ أَنْ يَلِجَ بَابَ الْجَنَّةِ وَمَنْ كَانَتْ هِمَّتُهُ الدُّنْيَا حَرَّمَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ جَوَارِيَ فَإِنِّي بُعِثْتُ بِخَرابِ الدُّنْيَا وَلَمْ أُبْعَثْ بِعَمَارَتِهَا»  

"مَنْ كَانَتْ الدُّنْيَا نَهْمَتَهُ (*) حَرَّمَ الله - تَعَالى - عَلَيهِ جِوَارِي، فَإِنِّي بُعِثْتُ بِخَرَاب الدُّنْيَا، وَلَمْ أُبْعَثْ بِعُمْرَانِهَا".
