[Machine] O people, a tremendous month has cast its shade over you—a blessed month, in which there is a night better than a thousand months. God Most High has made its fasting an obligation and its night vigil a voluntary act. Whoever draws near to God in it with a single good deed is like one who has fulfilled an obligatory duty in other than it; and whoever fulfills an obligatory duty in it is like one who has fulfilled seventy obligatory duties in other than it.

It is the month of patience, and the reward for patience is Paradise; and the month of mutual compassion and sharing; and a month in which the provision of the believer is increased. Whoever gives a fasting person something with which to break the fast will have forgiveness for his sins, and emancipation from the Fire, and will have a reward equal to the fasting person’s reward, without anything being diminished from the fasting person’s reward. God Most High grants this reward to whoever gives a fasting person a sip of milk, or a date, or a drink of water; and whoever satisfies a fasting person with food, God will give him a drink from my Basin, after which he will never thirst until he enters Paradise.

It is a month whose beginning is mercy, whose middle is forgiveness, and whose end is emancipation from the Fire. So increase in it four qualities: two by which you please your Lord, and two you cannot do without. As for the two by which you please your Lord: bearing witness that there is no god but God, and seeking forgiveness. And as for the two you cannot do without: you ask God for Paradise, and you seek refuge with Him from the Fire.

in Ibn Khuzaymah and he said said: "if this report is authentic.” al-Bayhaqi in Shuab al-Iman and al-Isfahani in al-Targhib narrated it from Salman. al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar said in his Atrāf: “Its chain revolves around Ali b. Zayd b. Judan, and he is weak; and Yusuf b. Ziyad, who narrates it from him, is very weak. He was followed ˹in narrating it˺ by Iyas ibn Abd al-Ghaffar from Ali b. Zayd from him”; in al-Bayhaqi's Shuab al-Iman, Ibn Hajar said: “and as for Iyas, I do not recognize him.” End.
