Mu’aiqib reported the Prophet ﷺ as saying ; Do not remove pebbles while you are praying; if you do it out of sheer necessity, do it only once to smooth the pebbles.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تَمْسَحْ وَأَنْتَ تُصَلِّي فَإِنْ كُنْتَ لاَ بُدَّ فَاعِلاً فَوَاحِدَةً تَسْوِيَةَ الْحَصَى
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not wipe over yourself while you are praying, but if you have to, then do it once." This is the ruling regarding wiping over the socks.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تَمْسَحْ وَأَنْتَ تُصَلِّي وَإِنْ كُنْتَ لَا بُدَّ فَاعِلًا فَوَاحِدَةً» تَسْوِيَةَ الْحَصَا
