" عَنِ الحَجَّاجِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ: بِحسبِ أَحَدِكُمْ إذَا قَامَ مِن اللَّيْلِ حتى يصبح أنه قد تهجد، إنما التهجد، المرء يُصَلِى الصَّلَاةَ بَعْدَ رَقْدَةٍ، وَتِلْكَ كَانَتْ صَلَاةَ رَسولِ الله ﷺ ".

[Machine] About Al-Hajjaj bin Amr bin Ghaziyyah, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said: It is sufficient for one of you, when he gets up at night to pray, to pray until he becomes tired. Indeed, tahajjud prayer is that a person prays a certain number of prayers, then rests, and then prays another set of prayers. And that was the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .
