"مَنْ وُجِدَ لَهُ ثَلاثَة أَوْلادٍ فَلم يُسَمِّ أَحَدَهُمْ مُحَمَّدًا فَقَدْ جَهِلَ".  

[طب] الطبرانى في الكبير عبد، والشيرازى في الألقاب عن ابن عباس، وأورده ابن الجوزي في الموضوعات فلم يصب، ابن بكير في جزء "من اسمه محمد وأحمد"، [طب] الطبرانى في الكبير عن واثلة، الحارث عن النضر بن شفى مرسلًا
