Place a pillow for Abu 'Abd al-Rahman (family name of 'Abdullah b. 'Umar). But the latter said: I have not come to sit with you. I have come to you to tell you a tradition I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I heard him say: One who withdraws his band from obedience (to the Amir) will find no argument (in his defence) when he stands before Allah on the Day of Judgment, and one who dies without having bound himself by an oath of allegiance (to an Amir) will die the death of one belonging to the days of Jahillyya.

إِنِّي لَمْ آتِكَ لأَجْلِسَ أَتَيْتُكَ لأُحَدِّثَكَ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُهُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ خَلَعَ يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةٍ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لاَ حُجَّةَ لَهُ وَمَنْ مَاتَ وَلَيْسَ فِي عُنُقِهِ بَيْعَةٌ مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever removes his hand from obedience, he will have no proof on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever dies without being in the community, he has died a death of ignorance."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ نَزَعَ يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةٍ فَلَا حُجَّةَ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ مَاتَ مُفَارِقًا لِلْجَمَاعَةِ فَقَدْ مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً

[AI] "Welcome Abu Abdul Rahman, provide him a cushion," he said. "I have come to speak to you a narration I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever removes his hand from obedience to Allah, he will come on the Day of Judgment with no evidence for himself. And whoever dies while being separated from the group, he will die the death of ignorance.'"

مَرْحَبًا بِأَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ضَعُوا لَهُ وِسَادَةً فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا جِئْتُكَ لِأُحَدِّثَكَ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ نَزَعَ يَدًا مَنْ طَاعَةِ اللهِ فَإِنَّهُ يَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَا حُجَّةَ لَهُ وَمَنْ مَاتَ وَهُوَ مَفَارِقٌ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ فَإِنَّهُ يَمُوتُ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever removes his hand from obedience, he will have no excuse on the Day of Resurrection, and whoever dies while being separate from the group, dies the death of ignorance."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ نَزَعَ يَدَهُ مِنَ الطَّاعَةِ فَلَا حُجَّةَ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ مَاتَ مُفَارِقًا لِلْجَمَاعَةِ مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً

[AI] "I did not come to sit, but rather I came to inform you of two words that I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Whoever removes his hand from obedience without having any valid excuse, he will not have any proof for himself on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever dies while being separated from the group, then indeed he dies the death of ignorance.'"

إِنِّي لَمْ آتِ لِأَجْلِسَ إِنَّمَا جِئْتُ لِأُخْبِرَكَ كَلِمَتَيْنِ سَمِعْتُهُمَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ نَزَعَ يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةٍ لَمْ تَكُنْ لَهُ حُجَّةٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ مَاتَ مُفَارِقًا لِلْجَمَاعَةِ فَإِنَّهُ يَمُوتُ مَوْتَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever dies while not obeying Allah, dies without any proof for him, and whoever dies after removing his hand from an allegiance that he was bound to, dies a death of misguidance."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَاتَ عَلَى غَيْرِ طَاعَةِ اللهِ مَاتَ وَلَا حُجَّةَ لَهُ وَمَنْ مَاتَ وَقَدْ نَزَعَ يَدَهُ مِنْ بَيْعَةٍ كَانَتْ مِيتَتُهُ مِيتَةَ ضَلَالَةٍ

[AI] "On the authority of the Messenger of Allahﷺ he said: 'Whoever removes his hand from obedience, he will have no proof on the Day of Judgment, and whoever dies while separate from the Jama'ah (the community of Muslims), then he has died the death of ignorance.'"

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ نَزَعَ يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةٍ فَلَا حُجَّةَ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ مَاتَ مُفَارِقًا لِلْجَمَاعَةِ فَقَدْ مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً

[AI] "Welcome, O Father Abdul Rahman. Prepare a cushion for him." Ibn Umar then said, "I have come to narrate a Hadith to you, which I heard from the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. I heard the Messenger of Allahﷺ saying, 'Whoever withdraws his hand from obedience, he will come on the Day of Judgment with no argument for him. And whoever dies while he is disconnected from the community, he will die a death of ignorance.'"

مَرْحَبًا بِأَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ضَعُوا لَهُ وِسَادَةً فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ إِنَّمَا جِئْتُ لِأُحَدِّثَكَ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ نَزَعَ يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةٍ فَإِنَّهُ يَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَا حُجَّةَ لَهُ وَمَنْ مَاتَ وَهُوَ مَفَارِقٌ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ فَإِنَّهُ يَمُوتُ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ then let him perform ablution." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 481)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever dies without having an imam (leader), dies the death of ignorance."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَاتَ وَلَيْسَ لَهُ إِمَامٌ مَاتَ مَيْتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً»

[AI] "I did not come to sit, but rather I came to speak to you two words that I heard from the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. I heard the Messenger of Allahﷺ saying, 'Whoever withdraws his hand from obedience (to Allah), he will not have any proof (excuse) on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever dies while being separate from the congregation, then indeed he will die the death of ignorance.'"

إِنِّي لَمْ آتِ لِأَجْلِسَ إِنَّمَا جِئْتُ لِأُكَلِّمَكَ كَلِمَتَيْنِ سَمِعْتُهُمَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ نَزَعَ يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةٍ لَمْ تَكُنْ لَهُ حُجَّةٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ مَاتَ مُفَارِقَ الْجَمَاعَةِ فَإِنَّهُ يَمُوتُ مَوْتَةَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Taking care of the poor is like safeguarding oneself from a bad death."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مُنَاوَلَةُ الْمِسْكِينِ تَقِي مِيتَةَ السُّوءِ»

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ then let him perform ablution." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 481)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , he said, "Whoever dies while separated from the congregation, dies a death of ignorance."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَاتَ مُفَارِقًا لِلْجَمَاعَةِ مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever dies without having allegiance (to a ruler) around his neck, dies the death of Jahiliyyah."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ مَاتَ وَلَيْسَ فِي عُنُقِهِ بَيْعَةٌ مَاتَ مَيْتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever dies without an Imam, dies a death of ignorance."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ مَاتَ بِغَيْرِ إِمَامٍ مَاتَ مَيْتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً»

[AI] "I have not come to sit with you, but I have come to inform you of a hadith that I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . I heard him say, 'Whoever removes his hand from obedience (to the ruler), he will meet Allah on the Day of Judgment with no proof for him. And whoever dies without a pledge of allegiance on his neck, he dies the death of ignorance.'"

إِنِّي لَمْ أَجِئْكَ لِأَجْلِسَ إِنَّمَا جِئْتُكَ لِأُحَدِّثَكَ بِحَدِيثٍ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ مَنْ خَلَعَ يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةٍ لَقِيَ اللهَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلَا حُجَّةَ لَهُ وَمَنْ مَاتَ وَلَيْسَ فِي عُنُقِهِ بَيْعَةٌ مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً

"مَنْ مَاتَ بِغَيرِ إِمَامٍ مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِليَّةً".

"مَنْ مَاتَ مُفَارِقًا لِلجَمَاعَةٍ مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً".

"مَنْ مَاتَ بِغَيرِ إِمَامٍ، مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِليَّةً وَمَنْ نَزَعَ يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةٍ جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لا حُجَّةَ لَهُ".

"مَنْ نَزع يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةِ اللهِ، وَفَارَقَ الجَمَاعَةَ، ثُمَّ مَاتَ. مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً، وَخَلَفَهَا بَعْدَ عَهْدِهَا، لَقِيَ اللهَ وَلا حُجَّةَ لَهُ".

"مَنْ نَزع يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةِ اللهِ، فَإِنَّهُ يَأتِي يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ لا طَاعَةَ وَلَا حُجَّةَ لَهُ، وَمَنْ مَاتَ مُفَارِقًا لِلجَمَاعَةِ، فَقَدْ مَاتَ مَوْتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً".
