"عَنْ الْمُهَلَّبِ بْنِ أَبِى صُفْرَةَ قَالَ: حَاصَرْنَا مَنَاذِرَ فَأَصَبْنَا سَبْيًا، فَكَتَبُوا إِلَى عُمَرَ، فَكَتَبَ عُمَرُ: إِنَّ مَنَاذِرَ قَرْيَةٌ مِنْ قُرَى السَّوَادِ، فَرُدُّوا إِلَيْهِمْ مَا أَصَبْتُمْ".
