"مَا أَنَا أخْرَجْتُكُمْ مِن قِبَل نَفْسِى وَلَا أنَا تَرَكْتُهُ، وَلَكِن الله أخْرَجَكُمْ وَتَرَكهُ، إِنَّمَا أنا عَبْدٌ مَأمُورٌ، مَا أمِرْتُ بِهِ فَعَلتُ إِن أتَّبعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَى إلَيَّ".

[Machine] When the people of the mosque were expelled and Ali was left behind, the people began to talk about it. This reached the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and he said, "I did not expel you of my own accord, nor did I leave him intentionally. Rather, it was Allah who expelled you and left him. I am merely a servant who does what he is commanded." [I follow nothing but what is revealed to me]
لَمَّا أُخْرِجَ أَهْلُ الْمَسْجِدِ وَتُرِكَ عَلِيٌّ قَالَ النَّاسُ فِي ذَلِكَ فَبَلَغَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مَا أَنَا أَخَرَجْتُكُمْ مِنْ قِبَلِ نَفْسِي وَلَا أَنَا تَرَكْتُهُ وَلَكِنَّ اللهَ أَخْرَجَكُمْ وَتَرَكَهُ إِنَّمَا أَنَا عَبْدٌ مَأْمُورٌ مَا أُمِرْتُ بِهِ فَعَلْتُ» {إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَى إِلَيَّ}
