[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said to Wabisah, "Have you come to ask about righteousness and sin?" Wabisah replied, "Yes." The Prophet then clasped his fingers, struck his chest with them, and said, "Consult your heart, consult your soul, O Wabisah. Righteousness is that about which the soul feels tranquil and the heart feels satisfied, and sin is that which causes agitation in the soul and hesitation in the heart, even if people give you a verdict and even if they give you an opinion."
[AI] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, inform me of what is permissible for me and what is prohibited for me." The Prophet ﷺ then looked at me and said, "Goodness is what satisfies the soul and puts the heart at ease. Sin is what the soul does not find satisfaction in and the heart does not find tranquility in. And if those who are knowledgeable give you a verdict, do not approach the flesh of domesticated donkeys and the fangs of wild animals."
[AI] I heard Abu Tha'labah Al-Khushani say, "I asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, inform me of what is lawful for me and what is forbidden upon me.' He raised his gaze towards me and straightened himself, then he said, 'Nuwaibita.' So I asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, is Nuwaibita good or bad?' He said, 'Indeed, Nuwaibita is good. Do not eat the meat of a domesticated donkey or a canine with fangs from the predators.'"
[AI] I heard Abu Tha'labah Al-Khushani say, "I asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, inform me regarding what is permissible for me and what is forbidden upon me.' He looked at me directly and said, 'Piety is that which satisfies the soul and comforts the heart, and sin is that which does not satisfy the soul and does not bring peace to the heart.'"
