Indeed, mankind is in loss,  

Verily man (al-insān: the generic) is in ˹a state of˺ loss, in all his bargaining,
القرآن:١٠٣:٢ –

إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ  

{إنَّ الإنسان} الجنس {لفي خُسر} في تجارته.
