"Belief in Allah and Jihad in the cause of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime."
أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَىُّ الْعَمَلِ خَيْرٌ قَالَ إِيمَانٌ بِاللَّهِ وَجِهَادٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ﷻ
"Belief in Allah and Jihad in the cause of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime."
أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَىُّ الْعَمَلِ خَيْرٌ قَالَ إِيمَانٌ بِاللَّهِ وَجِهَادٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ﷻ
Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, "What is the best deed?" He replied, "To believe in Allah and His Apostle (Muhammad). The questioner then asked, "What is the next (in goodness)? He replied, "To participate in Jihad (religious fighting) in Allah's Cause." The questioner again asked, "What is the next (in goodness)?" He replied, "To perform Hajj (Pilgrim age to Mecca) 'Mubrur, (which is accepted by Allah and is performed with the intention of seeking Allah's pleasure only and not to show off and without committing a sin and in accordance with the traditions of the Prophet)."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ أَىُّ الْعَمَلِ أَفْضَلُ فَقَالَ إِيمَانٌ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ قِيلَ ثُمَّ مَاذَا قَالَ الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ قِيلَ ثُمَّ مَاذَا قَالَ حَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ
The Prophet ﷺ was asked, "Which is the best deed?" He said, "To believe in Allah and His Apostle." He was then asked, "Which is the next (in goodness)?" He said, "To participate in Jihad in Allah's Cause." He was then asked, "Which is the next?" He said, "To perform Hajj-Mabrur. "
سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَىُّ الأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ إِيمَانٌ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ قِيلَ ثُمَّ مَاذَا قَالَ جِهَادٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ قِيلَ ثُمَّ مَاذَا قَالَ حَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ
A man asked the Prophet ﷺ "What deeds are the best?" The Prophet ﷺ said: "(1) To perform the (daily compulsory) prayers at their (early) stated fixed times, (2) to be good and dutiful to one's own parents, (3) and to participate in Jihad in Allah's Cause."
أَنَّ رَجُلاً سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَىُّ الأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ الصَّلاَةُ لِوَقْتِهَا وَبِرُّ الْوَالِدَيْنِ ثُمَّ الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ
"A man asked the Prophet 'O Messenger of Allah, which deed is best?' He said: 'Jihad in the cause of Allah.' He said: 'Then what?' He said: 'then Hajj Al-Mabrir.'''
سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَىُّ الأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ الإِيمَانُ بِاللَّهِ قَالَ ثُمَّ مَاذَا قَالَ الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ قَالَ ثُمَّ مَاذَا قَالَ ثُمَّ الْحَجُّ الْمَبْرُورُ
"A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ which deed is best. He said: 'Faith in Allah.' He said: 'Then what?' He said: 'Jihad in the cause of Allah.' He said: 'Then what?' He said: 'Hajjun Mabrur.'" [1] [1] Hajj, that is accepted, or free of sin.

The Messenger of Allah [SAW] was asked: "Which deed is best?" "He said: Faith in Allah [SWT] and His messenger [SAW]."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ أَىُّ الأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ الإِيمَانُ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ
The Prophet [SAW] was asked: "Which deed is best?" He said: "Faith in which there is no doubt, Jihad in which there is no Ghulul, and Hajjatun Mabrur."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سُئِلَ أَىُّ الأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ فَقَالَ إِيمَانٌ لاَ شَكَّ فِيهِ وَجِهَادٌ لاَ غُلُولَ فِيهِ وَحَجَّةٌ مَبْرُورَةٌ

سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ «إِيمَانٌ بِاللَّهِ وَجِهَادٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ»
[AI] I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "Which deeds are the best?" He replied, "Praying on time, showing kindness to parents, and striving in the cause of Allah, the Almighty and Majestic."

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ وَأَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ خَيْرٌ؟ قَالَ إِيمَانٌ بِاللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ قَالَ ثُمَّ أَيٌّ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ سَنَامُ الْعَمَلِ قَالَ ثُمَّ أَيٌّ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ حَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever aids a fighter in the way of Allah or a person engaged in noble work, Allah will shade him on the Day when there will be no shade except His shade."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ أَعَانَ مُجَاهِدًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ ﷻ أَوْ مُكَاتَبًا فِي رَقَبَتِهِ أَظَلَّهُ اللهُ يَوْمَ لَا ظِلَّ إِلَّا ظِلُّهُ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever assists a fighter in the cause of Allah or supports someone in financial difficulties or helps someone burdened with debt, Allah will provide shade for him on the Day when there will be no shade except His shade."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أَعَانَ مُجَاهِدًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَوْ غَارِمًا فِي عُسْرَتِهِ أَوْ مُكَاتَبًا فِي رَقَبَتِهِ أَظَلَّهُ اللهُ فِي ظِلِّهِ يَوْمَ لَا ظِلَّ إِلَّا ظِلُّهُ
[AI] The Prophet ﷺ was asked which actions are the best, and he replied: "Belief in Allah and Jihad in the cause of Allah, and performing the Hajj pilgrimage which is accepted." Abu Abdullah Al-Rahman said, "Or performing the accepted Hajj pilgrimage."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سُئِلَ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ الْإِيمَانُ بِاللهِ وَالْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَحَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَوْ حَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever assists a warrior for the sake of Allah, or supports someone in financial difficulty, or helps to pay off someone's debt, Allah will provide shade for them on the Day when there is no shade except His shade." Adh-Dhahabi did not mention this in his summary on this topic.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَعَانَ مُجَاهِدًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ غَارِمًا فِي عُسْرَتِهِ أَوْ مُكَاتَبًا فِي رَقَبَتِهِ أَظَلَّهُ اللَّهُ فِي ظِلِّهِ يَوْمَ لَا ظِلَّ إِلَّا ظِلُّهُ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص في هذا الموضع
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever helps a fighter in the cause of Allah, or a warrior, or someone in debt, or a slave paying off his debt, Allah will shade him in His shade on the day when there is no shade except His shade."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَعَانَ مُجَاهِدًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ غَازِيًا أَوْ غَارِمًا فِي عُسْرَتِهِ أَوْ مُكَاتَبًا فِي رَقَبَتِهِ أَظَلَّهُ اللَّهُ فِي ظِلِّهِ يَوْمَ لَا ظِلَّ إِلَّا ظِلُّهُ»
[AI] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, which action is the best?" He said, "Faith in Allah and striving in His path."
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيُّ الْعَمَلِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ «إِيمَانٌ بِاللَّهِ وَجِهَادٌ فِي سَبِيلِهِ»
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever aids a fighter in the cause of Allah, or assists a debtor in his difficulty, or relieves someone burdened with a hardship, Allah will shade him in His shade on the day when there is no shade except His shade."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَعَانَ مُجَاهِدًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَوْ غَارِمًا فِي عُسْرَتِهِ أَوْ مُكَاتِبًا فِي رَقَبَتِهِ أَظَلَّهُ اللهُ فِي ظِلِّهِ يَوْمَ لَا ظِلَّ إِلَّا ظِلَّهُ»
[AI] "On the authority of the Prophet of Allah ﷺ, he said, 'Whoever aids a warrior in the path of Allah, or helps a debtor in his hardship, or assists someone in fulfilling a contract, Allah will provide shade for him on the Day when there will be no shade except His shade.'"
عَنْ نَبِيِّ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَعَانَ مُجَاهِدًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَوْ غَارِمًا فِي عُسْرَتِهِ أَوْ مُكَاتَبًا فِي رَقَبَتِهِ أَظَلَّهُ اللهُ ﷻ فِي ظِلِّهِ يَوْمَ لَا ظِلَّ إِلَّا ظِلَّهُ»

سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ «الْإِيمَانُ بِاللهِ وَالْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِهِ» ثُمَّ أَرْعَدَتْ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَهْ؟ قَالَ «ثُمَّ عَمَلٌ هُوَ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ سَائِرِ الْأَعْمَالِ إِلَّا كَمَثَلِ حَجَّةٍ بَارَّةٍ»

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَيُّ الْعَمَلِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ «إِيمَانٌ بِاللهِ وَجِهَادٌ فِي سَبِيلِهِ» قَالَ فَأَيُّ الرِّقَابِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ «أَغْلَاهَا ثَمَنًا وَأَنْفَسُهَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِهَا»
[AI] He asked the Prophet ﷺ, "Which action is best?" He replied, "Faith in Allah and striving in the cause of Allah." He then asked, "Which slaves are best?" He said, "The most expensive of them and the dearest to their families."
أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ أَيُّ الْعَمَلِ خَيْرٌ؟ قَالَ «إِيمَانٌ بِاللهِ وَجِهَادٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ» قَالَ فَأَيُّ الرِّقَابِ خَيْرٌ؟ قَالَ «أَغْلَاهَا ثَمَنًا وَأَنْفَسُهَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِهَا»
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever supports a fighter in the way of Allah, or a person in financial difficulty, or a slave who wants to pay off his debt, Allah will provide shade for him on the Day when there will be no shade except His shade." The wording of both hadiths is similar. Amr ibn Thabit or a warrior does not affect the meaning.

"أفْضَلُ الأعْمالِ: إيمانٌ بالله ورَسُولِه، ثم جهاد في سبيل الله، ثم حَجٌّ مَبْرُور".
"أفْضَلُ الأعْمَالِ: إيمان بالله وَرَسَولِهِ، ثم الجهاد في سبيل الله سنَامُ العَمَلِ، ثم حَجٌّ مَبْرور".
"أفضَلُ الأعْمَال عنْدَ الله، إيمان بالله، وجِهاد في سبيل الله، وحَجٌّ مبرورٌ قَالُوا: ما بِرُّ الحجِّ؟ ، قال: إطعامُ الطعام وَطيِبُ الكَلام".
"أفضل العمل إيمان بالله وجهاد في سبيله".
"مَنْ أَعَانَ مُجَاهدًا في سَبِيل اللهِ أَوْ غَارِمًا في عُسْرَتِه، أَوْ مُكَاتَبًا في رَقَبَتِه أَظَلَّهُ اللهُ في ظِلِّه يومَ لا ظِلَّ إِلَّا ظِلُّهُ".
