nasai-kubra:9651 – ʿAmr b. ʿAlī > ʿĀṣim b. Hilāl al-Baṣrī > Ayyūb > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever drags his garment out of pride, Allah will not look at him." Umm Salamah said, "What about us then?" He replied, "A handspan." She asked, "In that case, will our feet be exposed?" He said, "No more than a forearm's length."  

الكبرى للنسائي:٩٦٥١ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

tirmidhi:1731 – al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī al-Khalāal > ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Maʿmar > Ayyūb > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever arrogantly drags his garment, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Judgement." So Umm Salamah said: "What should the women do with their hems?" He said: "Slacken them a handspan." So she said: "Then their feet will be uncovered." He said: "Then slacken them a forearm's length and do not add to that." He said: This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. In the Hadith there is a concession for women to drag their Izar because it covers them better.  

الترمذي:١٧٣١ – حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلاَّلُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ خُيَلاَءَ لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ فَكَيْفَ يَصْنَعْنَ النِّسَاءُ بِذُيُولِهِنَّ قَالَ يُرْخِينَ شِبْرًا فَقَالَتْ إِذًا تَنْكَشِفَ أَقْدَامُهُنَّ قَالَ فَيُرْخِينَهُ ذِرَاعًا لاَ يَزِدْنَ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Certainly, the one who drags his garment out of pride, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection." Nafi' said, "I was informed that Umm Salamah said, 'What about us then?' He (the Messenger of Allah) said, 'A hand-span.' She said, 'So, will our feet become apparent?' He said, 'A forearm's length, do not go beyond that.'"  

أحمد:٤٤٨٩ – حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ
