"When the Verses of Riba were revealed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up on the Minbar and recited them to the people, then he forbade dealing in wine." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4665)
لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ آيَاتُ الرِّبَا قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَتَلَاهُنَّ عَلَى النَّاسِ ثُمَّ حَرَّمَ التِّجَارَةَ فِي الْخَمْرِ
When the last Verses of Surat al- Baqara were revealed, the Prophet ﷺ recited them in the mosque and proclaimed the trade of alcohol as illegal.
لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ آخِرُ الْبَقَرَةِ قَرَأَهُنَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَيْهِمْ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ثُمَّ حَرَّمَ التِّجَارَةَ فِي الْخَمْرِ
When the Verses of Surat-al-Baqara regarding usury (i.e. Riba) were revealed, Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited them before the people and then he prohibited the trade of alcoholic liquors.
لَمَّا نَزَلَتِ الآيَاتُ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي الرِّبَا قَرَأَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَى النَّاسِ ثُمَّ حَرَّمَ التِّجَارَةَ فِي الْخَمْرِ
When the last Verses of Surat-al-Baqara were revealed, Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and recited them before us and then prohibited the trade of alcoholic liquors.
