There is none among the companions of the Prophet ﷺ who has narrated more Hadiths than I except ʿAbdullah bin ʿAmr (bin Al-ʿAs) who used to write them and I never did the same. (Using translation from Bukhārī 113)

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَحَدٌ أَكْثَرَ حَدِيثًا عَنْهُ مِنِّي إِلاَّ مَا كَانَ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَكْتُبُ وَلاَ أَكْتُبُ
that the heard Abu Hurairah say: "None of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ narrated more Ahadith from him than me, except 'Abdullah bin 'Amr. For he used to write them down and I did not write."
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَكْثَرَ حَدِيثًا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنِّي إِلاَّ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَكْتُبُ وَكُنْتُ لاَ أَكْتُبُ
"There is none with more Ahadith from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than I, except for 'Abdullah bin 'Amr, for he used to write, (the Ahadith) and I did not used to write."
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنِّي إِلاَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَكْتُبُ وَكُنْتُ لاَ أَكْتُبُ
[Machine] "We heard him say, 'No one was more knowledgeable about the hadith of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than me, except for Abdullah bin Amr. For he used to write with his own hand and memorize with his heart, while I would memorize with my heart and not write with my hand. And he sought permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to narrate from him, and he granted him permission.'"
