Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Abu Bakr and ʿUmar! used to offer the two ʿId prayers before delivering the Khutba. (Using translation from Bukhārī 963)   

الكبرى للنسائي:١٧٨١ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

«شَهِدْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ يُصَلُّونَ الْعِيدَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ»

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ ؓ يُصَلُّونَ الْعِيدَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ  

muslim:888 – Abū Bakr b. Abū Shaybah > ʿAbdah b. Sulaymān And ʾAbū Usāmah > ʿUbaydullāh > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

Ibn 'Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Abu Bakr and 'Umar used to observe the two 'Id prayers before the sermon.

ابن ماجة:١٢٧٦ – حَدَّثَنَا حَوْثَرَةُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ثُمَّ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ثُمَّ عُمَرُ يُصَلُّونَ الْعِيدَ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ

الحاكم:١١١٠ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي بِهَمْدَانَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَاهَانَ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ حِزَامٍ التِّرْمِذِيُّ ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ يُصَلُّونَ الْعِيدَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ»  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ إِنَّمَا خَرَّجَا حَدِيثَ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ بِغَيْرِ هَذَا اللَّفْظِ
