[Machine] That Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib sent him on a need to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and Maymuna bint al-Harith was the aunt of Ibn Abbas. He entered upon her and found the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the mosque. Ibn Abbas said, "So I lay down in her room and began to count how many units the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed. He came while I was lying down in the room after the night had passed. He said, 'Did the child fall asleep?' So he took a blanket and put it on Maymuna and wore some of it and left some on her, then he stood up and prayed two units, two units, until he prayed eight units, then he performed Witr with five units, without sitting between them. Then he sat down and praised Allah with what is his rightful due, and then he increased in praise."

[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi reported on the authority of Abdul Aziz ibn Muhammad, who reported on the authority of Abdul Majid ibn Suhail, who reported on the authority of Yahya ibn Abbad, who reported on the authority of Sa'id ibn Jubair, that Ibn Abbas informed him that his father, Abbas ibn Abdul Muttalib, sent him on his behalf to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for a matter he needed. Ma'Imunah bint Al-Harith, who was the aunt of Ibn Abbas, was staying with him. So he entered upon her and found the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the mosque. Ibn Abbas said: "So I lay down in her room, and I started to think about how many units of prayer the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had performed." He said: "I was still lying down in the room after he had gone from the night when he entered upon me and said: 'Does Al-Walid (a nickname for Ibn Abbas) sleep?' Then he took a cloth that was with Ma'Imunah, and he wrapped some of it around himself, with some of it over her, then he stood up and prayed two units of prayer, two units of prayer, until he had prayed eight units in total. Then he prayed Witr with five units, without sitting between them. Then he sat down and praised Allah with what befits Him and increased in his praise. Then his last words were: 'O Allah, place light in my heart, and place light in my hearing, and place light in my vision, and place light on my right side, and place light on my left side, and place light in front of me, and place light behind me, and increase me in light, and increase me in light, and increase me in light.'"
