41.1. Cutting off the Hands of a Thief
٤١.١۔ كِتَابُ قَطْعِ السَّارِقِ
The Prophet ﷺ said, "The hand of a thief should be cut off for stealing a quarter of a Dinar." (Using translation from Bukhārī 6790)
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «تُقْطَعُ يَدُ السَّارِقِ فِي رُبْعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا»
'A'isha reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ cut off the hand of a thief for a quarter of a dinar rid upwards. (Using translation from Muslim 1684a)
«يُقْطَعُ السَّارِقُ فِي رُبْعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا»
The prophet ﷺ used to cut off a thief’s hand for a quarter of a dinar and upwards. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4383)
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَقْطَعُ فِي رُبْعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا»
"The hand of the thief is to be cut off for one-quarter of a Dinar or more." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4918)
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِمِثْلِ ذَلِكَ «تُقْطَعُ يَدُ السَّارِقِ فِي رُبْعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا»
