Mu'awiya wrote to Mughira: Write for me something which you heard from Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; and he wrote: I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying. Verily Allah disapproves three thingq for you: irrelevant talk, wasting of wealth and persistent questioning.

The clerk of Al-Mughira bin Shuʿba narrated, "Muawiya wrote to Al-Mughira bin Shuʿba: Write to me something which you have heard from the Prophet ﷺ ." So Al-Mughira wrote: I heard the Prophet saying, "Allah has hated for you three things: -1. Vain talks, (useless talk) that you talk too much or about others. -2. [Machine] That you write to me about something you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so he wrote to him: "I heard him say: 'Verily, Allah hates for you three things: gossiping, excessive questioning, and wasting wealth.'"

Ibn 'Ulayyah said, "Wasting wealth is spending it in an unjust manner."
