Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade me that I should wear a ring in this and that finger of mine, and he pointed to the middle finger and the next one.  

مسلم:٢٠٧٨g – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ قَالَ قَالَ

عَلِيٌّ نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ أَتَخَتَّمَ فِي إِصْبَعِي هَذِهِ أَوْ هَذِهِ قَالَ فَأَوْمَأَ إِلَى الْوُسْطَى وَالَّتِي تَلِيهَا

"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade me to wear (a ring) on this finger," and it was on the middle finger and the one next to it.

ahmad:1019 – ʿAbd al-Raḥman > Sufyān And ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Sufyān > ʿĀṣim / Ibn Kulayb > Abū Burdah > ʿAlī

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade me to wear a ring on this or this, ʿAbdur-Razzaq said: meaning his forefinger and middle finger.
