The Prophet ﷺ got up amongst us and mentioned Al Ghulul, emphasized its magnitude and declared that it was a great sin saying, "Don't commit Ghulul for I should not like to see anyone amongst you on the Day of Ressurection, carrying over his neck a sheep that will be bleating, or carrying over his neck a horse that will be neighing. Such a man will be saying: 'O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Intercede with Allah for me,' and I will reply, 'I can't help you, for I have conveyed Allah's Message to you Nor should I like to see a man carrying over his neck, a camel that will be grunting. Such a man will say, 'O Allah's Apostle! Intercede with Allah for me, and I will say, 'I can't help you for I have conveyed Allah's Message to you,' or one carrying over his neck gold and silver and saying, 'O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Intercede with Allah for me,' and I will say, 'I can't help you for I have conveyed Allah's Message to you,' or one carrying clothes that will be fluttering, and the man will say, 'O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Intercede with Allah for me.' And I will say, 'I can't help you, for I have conveyed Allah's Message to you."  

قَامَ فِينَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْغُلُولَ فَعَظَّمَهُ وَعَظَّمَ أَمْرَهُ قَالَ لاَ أُلْفِيَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَلَى رَقَبَتِهِ شَاةٌ لَهَا ثُغَاءٌ عَلَى رَقَبَتِهِ فَرَسٌ لَهُ حَمْحَمَةٌ يَقُولُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَغِثْنِي فَأَقُولُ لاَ أَمْلِكُ لَكَ شَيْئًا قَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكَ وَعَلَى رَقَبَتِهِ بَعِيرٌ لَهُ رُغَاءٌ يَقُولُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَغِثْنِي فَأَقُولُ لاَ أَمْلِكُ لَكَ شَيْئًا قَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكَ وَعَلَى رَقَبَتِهِ صَامِتٌ فَيَقُولُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَغِثْنِي فَأَقُولُ لاَ أَمْلِكُ لَكَ شَيْئًا قَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكَ أَوْ عَلَى رَقَبَتِهِ رِقَاعٌ تَخْفِقُ فَيَقُولُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَغِثْنِي فَأَقُولُ لاَ أَمْلِكُ لَكَ شَيْئًا قَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكَ وَقَالَ أَيُّوبُ عَنْ أَبِي حَيَّانَ فَرَسٌ لَهُ حَمْحَمَةٌ  

One day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood among us (to deliver a sermon). He talked about the misappropriation of booty, and declared it to be a serious matter and a grave sin. Then he said: I shouldn't find that any of you should come on the Day of Judgment with a growling camel mounted on his neck, and should appeal to me for help saying:" Messenger of Allah, help me." and I should say: I have no authority to help you; I already communicated to you. I shouldn't find that any of you should come on the Day of Judgment with a bleating ewe mounted on his neck, and he should say to me:" Messenger of Allah, help me," and I should say: I have no authority to help you; I conveyed to you. I shouldn't find that one of you should come on the Day of Judgment with a Person crying loudly mounted on his neck, and he should say to me:" Messenger of Allah, help me," and I should say: I have no authority to help you; I conveyed to you. I shouldn't find that any one of you should come on the Day of Judgment with fluttering clothes wrapped round his neck and he should say to me:" Messenger of Allah, help me," and I should say: I have no authority to help you; I conveyed to you. I shouldn't find that any of you should come on the Day of Judgment with a heap of gold and silver placed on his neck and he should say to me:" Messenger of Allah, help me." and I should say: I have no authority to help you; I already conveyed to you (the warning from the Almighty). "لا أُلفيَنَّ أَحَدَكمْ يَجِيءُ يَوْمَ القيَامَة عَلَى رَقَبَته بَعيرٌ لَهُ رغُاءٌ، يَقُولُ: يَا رَسُولَ الله أَغِثْنِي، فَأَقُولُ: لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكَ شيئًا، قَدْ بَلَّغْتُكَ، لا أُلفِيَن أَحَدَكمْ يَجِيءُ يوْمَ القيامة عَلَى رَقَبَته فَرَسٌ لَهُ حَمحَمَةٌ، فَيقُولُ: يَا رَسُولَ الله أَغِثْنِي، فَأَقُولُ: لا أَمْلِكُ لَكَ شيئًا قَدْ بَلَّغْتُكَ، لا أُلفِيَنَّ أَحَدَكمْ يَجِيءُ يَوْمَ القيَامَة عَلَى رَقَبَته شَاةٌ لَهَا ثُغَاءٌ، يَقُولُ: يَا رَسُولَ الله أَغِثْنِي، فَأَقُولُ: لا أَمْلِكُ لَكَ شيئًا قَدْ بلَّغْتُك، لا أُلفيَنَّ أَحدَكمْ يَجئُ يَوْمَ القَيامَة عَلَى رَقَبَتِهِ رِقَاعٌ تَخْفُقُ فَيَقُولُ: يَا رسُولَ الله أَغِثْنِي، فَأَقُولُ: لا أمْلِكُ لَكَ شيئًا قَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكَ، لَا أُلفِيَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ يجِيءُ يَوْمَ القيَامَةِ عَلَى رَقَبَتِهِ صَامتٌ فَيَقُولُ: يَا رسُولَ الله أَغثْنِي، فَأَقُولُ: لا أَمْلِكُ لَكَ شيئًا قَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكَ (*) ".
