" No rebellious Quraishite with al-Asi as his name embraced Islam that day except Muti. His name-was al-Asi, but the Messenger of Allah (way peace be upon him) changed his name to Muti.  

مسلم:١٧٨٢bحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّاءُ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ وَزَادَ قَالَ

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ أَسْلَمَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ عُصَاةِ قُرَيْشٍ غَيْرَ مُطِيعٍ كَانَ اسْمُهُ الْعَاصِي فَسَمَّاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مُطِيعًا

[Machine] He heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of the conquest of Mecca saying, "No Quraish shall be killed after today, and no one from the rebellious Quraish has embraced Islam except in obedience." And his name was As'a, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called him Muti'a.  

أحمد:١٧٨٦٧حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُطِيعٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ يَقُولُ لَا يُقْتَلُ قُرَشِيٌّ صَبْرًا بَعْدَ الْيَوْمِ وَلَمْ يُدْرِكِ الْإِسْلَامَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ عُصَاةِ قُرَيْشٍ غَيْرُ مُطِيعٍ وَكَانَ اسْمُهُ عَاصِيًا فَسَمَّاهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مُطِيعًا

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , on the day of the conquest of Mecca, saying, "No Qurayshi shall be killed after this day except for a just cause until the Day of Resurrection." And no one from the disobedient Quraysh embraced Islam except in obedience, and his name was Al-Aas. So the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , named him Mu'ti'.

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say on the day of the conquest of Makkah: "After this day, no Quraishi will be killed unjustly until the Day of Judgment." No one from the rebellious Quraish was accepted as a Muslim except for a man named Al-'As, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ renamed him as Mu'ti' (the obedient one).
