muslim:13a – Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh b. Numayr from my father > ʿAmr b. ʿUthmān > Mūsá b. Ṭalḥah > Abū Ayyūb

The Prophet ﷺ stopped for a while and cast a glance upon his companions and then said: He was afforded a good opportunity (or he had been guided well). He (the Holy Prophet) addressing the bedouin said: (Repeat) whatever you have uttered. He (the bedouin) repeated that. Upon this the Apostle ﷺ remarked: The deed which can draw you near to Paradise and take you away from Hell is, that you worship Allah and associate none with Him, and you establish prayer and pay Zakat, and do good to your kin. After having uttered these words, the Prophet asked the bedouin to release the nosestring of his she-camel.  

مسلم:١٣a – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ طَلْحَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو أَيُّوبَ

أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا عَرَضَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَأَخَذَ بِخِطَامِ نَاقَتِهِ أَوْ بِزِمَامِهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَوْ يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَخْبِرْنِي بِمَا يُقَرِّبُنِي مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَمَا يُبَاعِدُنِي مِنَ النَّارِ قَالَ فَكَفَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ثُمَّ نَظَرَ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَقَدْ وُفِّقَ أَوْ لَقَدْ هُدِيَ قَالَ كَيْفَ قُلْتَ قَالَ فَأَعَادَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ تَعْبُدُ اللَّهَ لاَ تُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَتُقِيمُ الصَّلاَةَ وَتُؤْتِي الزَّكَاةَ وَتَصِلُ الرَّحِمَ دَعِ النَّاقَةَ

[Machine] "He informed the Prophet ﷺ that an Arab approached him while he was on a journey, and he took hold of the reins of his camel or its bridle, and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, or O Muhammad, inform me of what will bring me closer to Paradise and keep me distant from the Fire.' He ﷺ said, 'Worship Allah alone and associate no partners with Him, establish prayer, give zakat, and maintain good relations with your relatives.'"  

أحمد:٢٣٥٣٨ – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُوسَى بْنَ طَلْحَةَ أَنَّ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا عَرَضَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهُوَ فِي مَسِيرٍ فَأَخَذَ بِخِطَامِ نَاقَتِهِ أَوْ بِزِمَامِ نَاقَتِهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَوْ يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَخْبِرْنِي بِمَا يُقَرِّبُنِي مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَيُبَاعِدُنِي مِنَ النَّارِ قَالَ تَعْبُدُ اللهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَتُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ وَتُؤْتِي الزَّكَاةَ وَتَصِلُ الرَّحِمَ  

ذِكْرُ إِيجَابِ دُخُولِ الْجَنَّةِ لِلْوَاصِلِ رَحِمَهُ إِذَا قَرَنَهُ بِسَائِرِ الْعِبَادَاتِ

ibnhibban:437 – Aḥmad b. ʿAlī b. al-Muthanná > Surayj b. Yūnus > Marwān b. Muʿāwiyah > ʿAmr b. ʿUthmān b. ʿAbdullāh b. Mawhab > Mūsá b. Ṭalḥah > Abū Ayyūb al-Anṣārī > Aʿrābī ʿAraḍ Lilnnabī ﷺ Faʾakhadh Bizimām Nāqatih

[Machine] He informed him that an Arab man approached the Prophet ﷺ , so he took hold of his camel's reins and said, "O Messenger of Allah, inform me of an action that will enter me into Paradise and save me from the fire?" The Prophet ﷺ then looked at the faces of his companions, let go of the camel's reins, and said, "You have been blessed or guided; do not associate anything with Allah, establish the prayer, give the obligatory charity, and maintain ties of kinship. Leave the camel!"  

ابن حبّان:٤٣٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ أَنَّ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا عَرَضَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَخَذَ بِزِمَامِ نَاقَتِهِ فقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَخْبِرْنِي بِأَمْرٍ يُدْخِلُنِي الْجَنَّةَ وَيُنْجِينِي مِنَ النَّارِ؟ قَالَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَى وُجُوهِ أَصْحَابِهِ وَكَفَّ عَنْ نَاقَتِهِ وَقَالَ «لَقَدْ وُفِّقَ أَوْ هُدِيَ لَا تُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا وَتُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ وَتُؤْتِي الزَّكَاةَ وَتَصِلُ الرَّحِمَ دَعِ النَّاقَةَ! »

[Machine] An Arab man approached the Prophet ﷺ during his journey and asked him, "Inform me of what will bring me closer to Paradise and distance me from the Hellfire." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Worship Allah alone without associating any partners with Him, establish the prayer, give the obligatory charity (zakat), and maintain good ties with your relatives."  

الطبراني:٣٩٢٤ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُوسَى بْنَ طَلْحَةَ يَذْكُرُ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ

أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا عَرَضَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي مَسِيرِهِ فَقَالَ أَخْبِرْنِي بِمَا يُقَرِّبُنِي مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَيُبَاعِدُنِي مِنَ النَّارِ قَالَ «تَعْبُدُ اللهَ لَا تُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَتُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ وَتُؤْتِي الزَّكَاةَ وَتَصِلُ الرَّحِمَ»
