Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Abu Bakr and Umar used to do that.  

مالك:١٠-٤ – وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ

أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ كَانَا يَفْعَلاَنِ ذَلِكَ

Ibn Umar used to pray witr on his camel and he mentioned that the Prophet ﷺ used to do that.  

النسائي:١٦٨٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْحُرِّ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يُوتِرُ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ وَيَذْكُرُ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ  

ahmad:6457 – Ḥammād b. Khālid > ʿAbdullāh > Nāfiʿ

البيهقي:٢٧٧٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْعَدْلُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمُزَكِّي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا ابْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا مَالِكٌ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ أَنَّ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ كَانَ إِذَا جَلَسَ فِي التَّشَهُّدِ نَصَبَ رِجْلَهُ الْيُمْنَى وَثَنَى رِجْلَهُ الْيُسْرَى وَجَلَسَ عَلَى وَرِكِهِ الْيُسْرَى وَلَمْ يَجْلِسْ عَلَى قَدَمَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَرَانِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

وَحَدَّثَنِي أَنَّ أَبَاهُ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ
