“When the deceased enters the grave, the sun is made to appear as if it is setting. He sits up, wipes his eyes and says: ‘Let me pray.’”  

ابن ماجة:٤٢٧٢ – حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ الأُبُلِّيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا أُدْخِلَ الْمَيِّتُ الْقَبْرَ مُثِّلَتِ الشَّمْسُ لَهُ عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا فَيَجْلِسُ يَمْسَحُ عَيْنَيْهِ وَيَقُولُ دَعُونِي أُصَلِّي

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the deceased enters the grave, the sun is set before him, so he says, 'Leave me so that I may pray.'"  

ابن حبّان:٣١١٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُوسَى بِعَسْكَرِ مُكْرَمٍ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ قَحْطَبَةَ بْنِ مَرْزُوقٍ بِفَمِ الصِّلْحِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ الْأُبُلِّيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا دَخَلَ الْمَيِّتُ الْقَبْرَ مُثِّلَتْ لَهُ الشَّمْسُ عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا فَيَقُولُ دَعُونِي أُصَلِّي»  

suyuti:1768a –

“When the deceased enters the grave, the sun is made to appear as if it is setting. He sits up, wipes his eyes and says: ‘Let me pray.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4272)   

السيوطي:١٧٦٨a –

"إِذا أُدْخِلَ الميّتُ القبرَ مُثِّلَتْ له الشمسُ عنْد غُروبِها، فيجلسُ يمسحُ عينيه ويقولُ: دعونى أُصلى".
