A man bit another man's hand and the latter pulled his hand out of his mouth by force, causing two of his incisors (teeth) to fall out. They submitted their case to the Prophet, who said, "One of you bit his brother as a male camel bites. (Go away), there is no Diya (Blood-money) for you."

أَنَّ رَجُلاً عَضَّ يَدَ رَجُلٍ فَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ مِنْ فَمِهِ فَوَقَعَتْ ثَنِيَّتَاهُ فَاخْتَصَمُوا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ لاَ دِيَةَ لَكَ

Did you want to eat his flesh?

أَنَّ رَجُلاً عَضَّ ذِرَاعَ رَجُلٍ فَجَذَبَهُ فَسَقَطَتْ ثَنِيَّتُهُ فَرُفِعَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَبْطَلَهُ وَقَالَ أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَأْكُلَ لَحْمَهُ

Did you intend to bite his hand, as the camel bites?

أَنَّ أَجِيرًا لِيَعْلَى ابْنِ مُنْيَةَ عَضَّ رَجُلٌ ذِرَاعَهُ فَجَذَبَهَا فَسَقَطَتْ ثَنِيَّتُهُ فَرُفِعَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَبْطَلَهَا وَقَالَ أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَقْضَمَهَا كَمَا يَقْضَمُ الْفَحْلُ

Do you wish to bite as the camel bites?

أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَجُلٌ وَقَدْ عَضَّ يَدَ رَجُلٍ فَانْتَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَسَقَطَتْ ثَنِيَّتَاهُ يَعْنِي الَّذِي عَضَّهُ قَالَ فَأَبْطَلَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَقَالَ أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَقْضَمَهُ كَمَا يَقْضَمُ الْفَحْلُ

he pulled it away and a front tooth fell out. The matter was referred to the Messenger of Allah and he canceled (the Diyah) and said: "Did you want to bite your brother's flesh as a stallion bites?"

أَنَّ رَجُلاً عَضَّ آخَرَ عَلَى ذِرَاعِهِ فَاجْتَذَبَهَا فَانْتَزَعَتْ ثَنِيَّتَهُ فَرُفِعَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَبْطَلَهَا وَقَالَ أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَقْضَمَ لَحْمَ أَخِيكَ كَمَا يَقْضَمُ الْفَحْلُ

"Ya'la fought with a man, and one of them bit the other, who pulled his hand away from his mouth, and a front tooth fell out. They referred their dispute to the Messenger of Allah and he said: 'Would one of you bite his brother as a stallion bites? There is no Diyah for that."

قَاتَلَ يَعْلَى رَجُلاً فَعَضَّ أَحَدُهُمَا صَاحِبَهُ فَانْتَزَعَ يَدَهُ مِنْ فِيهِ فَنَدَرَتْ ثَنِيَّتُهُ فَاخْتَصَمَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ لاَ دِيَةَ لَهُ

a man bit another man in the forearm, and his front tooth fell out, so he went to the Prophet and told him about that. He said: "Do you want to bite your brother's forearm as a stallion bites?" And he judged it to be invalid.

أَنَّ رَجُلاً عَضَّ ذِرَاعَ رَجُلٍ فَانْتَزَعَ ثَنِيَّتَهُ فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَقْضَمَ ذِرَاعَ أَخِيكَ كَمَا يَقْضَمُ الْفَحْلُ فَأَبْطَلَهَا

a man from Banu Tamim fought with another man, and he bit his hand, so he pulled it away and a front tooth fell out. They referred the dispute to the Messenger of Allah, who said: "Would one of you bite his brother as a young camel bites?" and he thwarted it, meaning he judged it to be invalid.

أَنَّ رَجُلاً مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ قَاتَلَ رَجُلاً فَعَضَّ يَدَهُ فَانْتَزَعَهَا فَأَلْقَى ثَنِيَّتَهُ فَاخْتَصَمَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْبَكْرُ فَأَطَلَّهَا أَىْ أَبْطَلَهَا

a hired man of Ya'la bin Munyah was bitten by another on his forearm and he pulled it away from his mouth. The matter was referred to the Prophet, as his front tooth had fallen out, but the Messenger of Allah considered it an invalid claim, and said: "No,; should he put (his forearm) in your mouth for you to bite it as a stallion bites?"

أَنَّ أَجِيرًا لِيَعْلَى ابْنِ مُنْيَةَ عَضَّ آخَرُ ذِرَاعَهُ فَانْتَزَعَهَا مِنْ فِيهِ فَرَفَعَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَقَدْ سَقَطَتْ ثَنِيَّتُهُ فَأَبْطَلَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ أَيَدَعُهَا فِي فِيكَ تَقْضَمُهَا كَقَضْمِ الْفَحْلِ

[AI] The son of Numeir pulled his hand away from him and his two fingers fell off, so he pulled them back and his fingers were detached. This was then brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so he nullified it and said, "You wanted to bite the flesh of your brother as a stallion bites."

ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ فَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ مِنْهُ فَسَقَطَتْ ثَنِيَّتَاهُ فَجَذَبَهَا فَانْتَزَعَتْ ثَنِيَّتَهُ فَرُفِعَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَبْطَلَهَا وَقَالَ أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَقْضَمَ لَحْمَ أَخِيكَ كَمَا يَقْضَمُ الْفَحْلُ

[AI] A man bit another man, causing his tooth to be extracted. The Prophet ﷺ invalidated the act and said, "Did you intend to bite your brother's hand as a stallion bites?"

عَضَّ رَجُلٌ رَجُلًا فَانْتُزِعَتْ ثَنِيَّتُهُ فَأَبْطَلَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَقَالَ أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَقْضَمَ يَدَ أَخِيكَ كَمَا يَقْضَمُ الْفَحْلُ

[AI] "A man bit another man's hand and the hand was severed, and it caused a deformation or deformations. So the injured man came to the Prophet ﷺ and he said, 'Would one of you bite his brother as a male camel bites, and there is no recompense for you?'"

أَنَّ رَجُلًا عَضَّ يَدَ رَجُلٍ فَانْتَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَنَدَرَتْ ثَنِيَّتُهُ أَوْ ثَنِيَّتَاهُ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ لَا دِيَةَ لَكَ

[AI] A man killed another man, then he bit his hand and it swelled. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Does one of you bite like a male camel?" and he invalidated it.

أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَاتَلَ رَجُلًا فَعَضَّ يَدَهُ فَنَدَرَتْ ثَنِيَّتُهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ؟ » وَأَبْطَلَهَا

أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَجُلٌ قَدْ عَضَّ يَدَ رَجُلٍ فَانْتَزَعَ يَدَهُ مِنْهُ فَسَقَطَتْ ثَنِيَّتَا الَّذِي عَضَّهُ قَالَ فَأَبْطَلَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَقَالَ «أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَقْضِمَهُ كَمَا يَقْضَمُ الْفَحْلُ؟ »

[AI] A man bit the hand of another man, causing him to lose his thumb. They both presented their case to the Prophet ﷺ , who said, "No compensation will be paid, for one of you bit the other like a male camel."

أَنَّ رَجُلًا عَضَّ يَدَ رَجُلٍ فَنَزَعَ ثَنِيَّتَهُ فَاخْتَصَمَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ لَا دِيَةَ لَكَ»

[AI] A man bit another on his arm, so he pulled it away and took his complaint to the Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ invalidated it and said, "Did you want to bite the flesh of your brother, as a stallion bites?"

أَنَّ رَجُلًا عَضَّ آخَرَ عَلَى ذِرَاعِهِ فَاجْتَذَبَهَا فَانْتَزَعَ ثَنِيَّتَهُ فَرَفَعَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَهْدَرَهَا وَقَالَ «أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَعَضَّ لَحْمَ أَخِيكَ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ»

[AI] A man bit another man's hand and the hand was removed from him, causing his fingers to fall. He then went to the Prophet ﷺ and he invalidated it, then he said, "One of you eats the flesh of his brother just like a male horse eats or bites."

أَنَّ رَجُلًا عَضَّ عَلَى يَدِ رَجُلٍ فَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ مِنْهُ فَوَقَعَتْ ثَنِيَّتَاهُ فَأَتَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَأَبْطَلَهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ «يَأْكُلُ أَحَدُكُمْ لَحْمَ أَخِيهِ كَمَا يَأْكُلُ الْفَحْلُ أَوْ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ»

"عَنْ عمرانَ بن حصيْنٍ قَالَ: عَضَّ رجُلٌ رَجُلًا، فَانْتَزَعَ ثنيَتَهُ فَأبْطَلَهَا النَّبِىُّ ﷺ وَقَالَ: أرَدْتَ أَنْ تَقْضِمَ يد أخِيكَ كَمَا يَقْضِم الْفَحْلُ".
